Journal

My last update was a little over a month ago.  I've been hesitant to update since then until I had the whole picture.

Conclusion, I am still cancer free!

Jumping back now...leading up to today I had found 2 lumps in different parts of my body, which is why I went to my oncologist a month ago.  In the past month I have had numerous appts, lots of blood work, and even an ultrasound.  My bloodwork is still not where we want it to be, but that is why we are still adjusting my supplements.  In all of my appointments, the lumps were felt by all parties, it was not part of my imagination.  In the ultrasound, it was confirmed I had an 'abnormal' looking lymph node according to the tech doing the scan.

However, what the tech called 'abnormal' is somewhat expected in the region it was found.  It is in fact oblong in shape vs circular.  Different than what this person was used to seeing.  So I saw my oncologist today and she reviewed the results with me and assured me she feels it is ok.

Honestly this past month has been insanely stressful and scary.  The main thing that kept me sane was repeating to myself, "It's nothing until it's something," a saying from Kris Carr and her February YouTube post (https://youtu.be/3SRHzk6FgZo) and of course the few people that I mentioned this to.  When I left my doctor's office today, I cried.  It felt good to be told "Everything looks good".

So back I go to the 6-month checks, unless I notice something again.

I cannot reiterate enough to continue to advocate for yourself and get your regular screenings.  So stay healthy everyone, mentally & physically!
