Amanda’s Story

Site created on June 27, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. In May 2022, I was diagnosed with stage IV inflammatory breast cancer. We will be using this to keep family and friends updated on what all is happening, and the ways we are seeing God move in the midst of this journey. We find peace and rest knowing that God is in complete control over this situation, and goes before us through it all.   Thank you for visiting, and feel free to leave a note!

Newest Update

Journal entry by Nancy Keefe

(This is Amanda's mom writing the quick update.)

Amanda had chemo yesterday (Friday) and it's been rough going.  Last evening and all day today, Amanda has felt horrible.  She's fighting fever, chills, nausea, extreme fatigue, but the worst issues are severe headaches.  When the headaches come on, the pain is often behind or around her eyes - sometimes one eye, sometimes both eyes.

Please pray for relief from the pain and rest/sleep tonight, and strength for Monte and the rest of the family as it is difficult to see a loved one in such pain.

Also, please continue to pray for Amanda's healing.

Thank you to all who faithfully pray and help with meals.  Our gratitude cannot be fully expressed.
