Journal entry by Amanda Black —
Hello friends!
I am writing tonight to praise God for his goodness and mercy as I completed one more step in walking out of a cancer diagnosis. Today I completed my round of radiation treatments! February was a long month with four weeks of daily visits to the oncology center, but I’m so grateful for the family and friends who helped make it happen. And, I’m so overwhelmed with thankfulness that the side effects have been very minimal for me.
Although I had “a complete response” to the chemo, my doctor wants me to continue with some maintenance infusions of the immunotherapy drug Keytruda. So, I have seven more of those (and corresponding doctor visits), spread out over every three weeks. I’m set to finish that by the end of July.
Thank you for your prayers and support and encouragement for all of us as we continue walking through this season.
