Dear Friends and Family,
We enjoyed the weekend with some bicycling on the cape and I have been to third grade both yesterday and today. I feel well and healthy and am walking and bicycling. I now have a schedule. On Friday the 14th in the morning I will get the port put in and on Monday March 17th I will begin my treatment. The people at Lahey are all so patient and polite and friendly. A nurse will call a few days before the port appointment and explain the whole thing and a nurse practitioner will call a few days before the treatment and explain all about the medicines that I am scheduled to receive. Someone at school today asked me, "what do you need?" I said I need wisdom to know how to pace myself. I like going to school, I like having visitors, I like going places, I like accomplishing things, but I need time to think, and be still. I have some things I want to learn about cancer and nutrition. I have some numbers and names of people I'd like to contact who have survived stage 4 colon cancer. I also want lots of time with my family.
We are looking forward to getting Molly home tomorrow!
Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask, hope for or imagine according to His power that is at work within us. ( Eph 3:20)
Thank you again for all of your support. Soon, we will put up a link for those who are interested in doing some cooking or cleaning or yard work. I think we will take things just a month at a time. We feel loved and cared for thanks to each of you and all of your encouragement.
