Welcome to our CaringBridge website for Allan Lum.

On Monday March 30th, our brother Allan was admitted into the ICU at the hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho from his home in Sun Valley. He was diagnosed with COVID-19, which was finally confirmed on Thursday. His condition was very serious and he was placed on a ventilator Tuesday. Fortunately, the next day he began to make small improvements which have slowly continued. We are cautiously optimistic, and we know that things can change one way or another quickly. The ICU staff has been caring and compassionate and give us daily updates. We are so grateful that they are taking good care of Allan.

We will use Caring Bridge to share his condition with family and friends. You are welcome to use this site to message Allan.

If you feel the need to do something, consider helping those in your community who are suffering during this time. Contributions are always needed at your local Foodbank and other community support groups.

Allan is has improved to the point that the visiting nurse and the physical therapist won't need to visit him further.  He is still using oxygen (the pneumonia during his COVID - 19 ordeal takes time to heal). He's getting a great tan from the sunny weather he enjoys from his balcony.  It's great to hear of you progress and your sunny disposition, Allan!
