Journal entry by Tim Blank —
Friends and family, It's been about 4 months since I last updated you about Alicia's status. Yesterday she had an appointment with her oncologist to review an updated CT-Scan and a CEA (tumor marker) tests. Thought this would be an excellent day to update all of you. Thanks be to God that her CT-Scan did not show any newly developed cancer! Unfortunately her CEA score increased from where it was 4 months ago. By itself, the increased CEA score does not necessarily mean that cancer is active at work, or that we should be worried. Doc will check it again in another 4 months.
I ask you to continue to keep Alicia in your prayers. Her spirits are good, much better than mine. I think this year's restrictions that affects our ability to be near friends and family has taken a toll. But, let's bring in the new year with hope that 2021 will be the dawning of the opportunity to renew our love for friends and family! Happy New Year to all.
