Alice’s Story

Site created on April 28, 2020

Welcome to Alice DuTart's CaringBridge website. We are using this to keep family and friends updated in one place. On April 21, 2020, Alice was diagnosed with stage 3 Peritoneal Cancer. This is a sister of ovarian cancer and affects the abdominal area. Yes, this is a difficult diagnosis, but we know we have a wonderful Savior who is very familiar with our suffering and we are looking to Him for help. Through this website, we will keep everyone up to date on Alice's health, prayer requests, and more.

Romans 12:1-2
"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

Journal entry by Abby DuTart

"Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God to present your bodies as a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship." (Romans 12:1)

Because of all that King Jesus accomplished for us on the cross, the apostle Paul is challenging every believer to rise above the muck and mire of this world and offer their entire being to Him in service and worship.  This was the verse that the Lord gave Alice when she was diagnosed with cancer.  At that time, she had no idea how all of this was going to turn out.  As her husband, I watched Alice live out this verse all the way to the end. She literally fought the good fight, finished the course, and kept the faith, and I would like to invite all of you to a worship service where we can celebrate her life.
