Newest Update

Journal entry by lisa winterer

Alex finished his treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)! It seemed like this day would never come, but he made it! He took his last chemo pills at home on 8/6/22 and rang the bell at St. Louis Children’s Hospital on 8/12. He had surgery to remove his port on 8/15 and has been doing good. He is thrilled he does not have to take chemo and steroids anymore and does not have to deal with the port.

Thank you so much for all your prayers on this long journey. Please keep them coming that he continues to stay in remission and does not suffer from any long-term effects of the treatment. I am not sure if we will post any more updates. If you don’t see any more updates, just assume no news is good news. We are sharing some pictures of the bell ringing.
