Welcome to Alex’s CaringBridge Site
Sign In to Show Your SupportWe would like to ask for prayers for Alex as he goes into his last scheduled chemo treatment tomorrow morning. One would think there would be much relief with saying “last chemo”, and there is, but with that comes uncertainty. Uncertainty with what the upcoming scans will show and what is ahead. Scans will be scheduled for late May/early June and if clear, the doctors are asking Alex to consider moving to a daily chemo maintenance, in order to keep any little floater cells that are out there from surfacing, and yes of course it will have it’s own side effects. If the scans are not clear then we may be moving into a new chemo regimen, so yes we do have very mixed emotions and will be Alex’s decision on the chemo maintenance/plan; it maybe something he tries to see if tolerable.
Alex has just finished college finals and we are all grateful that he has been able to stay in school through this all. He is one amazing young man with an incredible attitude. He is moving home for the summer, taking a couple of classes online and will be working. We are looking forward to having him home.
I was listening to a friend during “coffee with Jesus” while driving to work this week and she was referencing scripture 1 Peter 5:7 “Give all your worries and cares to God for he cares for you.” Reflection: We must humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand. Take all our anxieties and give them to God, we need to lay them at the foot of the cross. Trust that he will help us. Let him carry the weight of our anxieties. It isn’t easy to turn these heavy anxieties over but will be something to continue to work on. It is nice to have a faith in which we can reach out and ask for help.
We will keep you posted we learn more throughout the next month but if you could send some prayers up for healing, understanding and peace that would mean a lot.
Blessings Always, Lynch Crew
