Journal entry by Morgan Kotlarczyk

Thank you everyone for continuing to check on us. We are so very grateful for everything!!

Alex is back at school, but continues to be in severe pain. He has had lots of other symptoms return as well after stopping some of the medications we were on prior to finding this issue.

I wish I could provide more definitive information, but we are continually getting the run around from Riley with no clear answers. His bone biopsy was inconclusive according to Rheumatology.  Infectious Disease has not returned any of my phone calls for blood culture results and to find out why we don’t have any information regarding pathology of the specimen. Neurology would like to move forward with a spinal tap next week, but I’m hesitant to put Alex through any more testing with the lack of support and answers we are getting thus far.

For now, we are trying to manage his pain and just keep fighting for answers. Your support gives us strength. Thank you!

Love,
Morgan
