Journal entry by Richard Weaver

It’s another few days and surprise we made it home today!  We had a lot going on the last few days trying to learn everything that is needed, get things ready at the house (Thanks Mike and Sherry!), medical equipment pickups, and learning about all the medications.  Alexis was able to come home with a portable wound vac to aide the healing of the surgical site on her left leg.  She also has a couple drains in that leg as well.  We have home nursing coming by a few times during the week to help us with those wound dressings and equipment. Atticus and Aonghus did well with the reintroduction tonight.  They definitely missed their mommy.  Alexis is adjusting well, she already utilized her new sit/stand recliner and the heated massage features.  Now she is relaxing in-front of the fireplace setting up all her new gadgets needed to record her daily vital diary entries.  It will take us a few days to settle into our new routines.  I’m sure we will stumble along the way, but we will get it figured out together.

Alexis would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.  She recognizes that she is extremely lucky, blessed, and fortunate to have so much support along the way.  We will continue to send updates sporadically as we go.
