“Hello from the land of denial. It appears my mind has gone deep  in denial. I don’t want to believe what is happening.   The family meeting has moved from Wednesday to tomorrow.   The bleeding on his brain has subsided but basically he is being kept alive by the breathing machine.  The doctors don’t think the swelling has gone down in eight days to believe there will be more improvement than this   We are still hoping and praying but the doctors are very negative.   👎Can I say I am Angry, Extremely Angry. 

The Family meeting is set for 2:00  if DAVID and Molly have not landed yet we will wait for them. Jim and Natalia are planning on being here on Thursday so we will have a day of gratitude for Alan’s life and prayer for guidance on how to proceed   The surgeries have added more comfort and have avoided infections but they have not improved his brain functions or activity. Alan is sleeping peacefully  but no response to any stimulation. 

He is not in pain because he is heavily medicated. He is congested because he has pneumonia but they’re aggressive in relieving congestion and administering antibiotics   Time, God’s love , faith and hope and most importantantly support of each other is all we have. 

Family members are almost constantly in Alan’s room or speaking to the myriad of caregivers.  We are at the hospital from 8 to 8 every day so it is almost to return calls we ask for your understanding and truly appreciate your love and support.
