Journal entry by Cassie Neumann —
Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days…no news is good news right!? Dad was officially discharged from the hospital yesterday afternoon!!! We all spent the night in Rochester at a hotel last night and had breakfast this morning at one of dad’s favorite places…Pannekoeken! These used to be all over in the cities and now I believe there are just 2 left so of course we had to go! Dad enjoyed an apple cinnamon pannekoeken and a mason jar full of chocolate milk! Dad is now home and will continue his therapy for the next few weeks from the comfort of home. His nurse will be coming over for the first time tomorrow to do blood checks since he is still on Coumadin for a while. My updates will be less frequent now but I will do my best to continue to let you all know how dad’s recovery is going. Thank you doesn’t even begin to put into words how much everyone’s thoughts, prayers and support have meant to us! We truly thank you all from the bottom of our hearts and we can’t wait for dad to get back to full strength!! ❤️🙏
