Our progress calls to mind a favorite Issa poem:

But slowly, slowly
However, I feel that we’ve made a huge leap forward by engaging a Care Management company run by nurses. It was beginning to feel like there were too many things I wasn’t good at or was getting pretty tired of doing. We do have a huge amount of support from friends and family, obviously, which just shows how much is needed when things go terribly wrong.
These folks will help us with everything we need or need to do to get Hozan Alan home, probably in another month or so (sorry if I made it sound more imminent). I’m feeling relieved.
