As sleep eludes me and I awaken with so many thoughts and memories, I want to take just a moment and reach out to my friends, family, and community. For those of you that have brought food, called, sent a text, prayed, or even thought of our family in this past week...THANK YOU! Our village is overwhelming, and we couldn't have made it without you.

One item I want to share, concerns the scholarship that we would like to give in Alan's honor. It has come to my attention that in order for the scholarship to be given as the Alan Thomas Scholarship and be designated as I planned, the college must have $7500 in contributions; otherwise, it rolls into the general scholarship fund, and we won't be able to be as specific as we would like. If you had at all considered contributing to this and can do so sooner rather than later, we would forever be grateful. The scholarship money will begin to be designated by March, so I am praying for that magic number ($7500) by mid to end of February.
