Alan got in to IR yesterday and had a drain placed. When it was placed, they were only able to get 10 ml of fluid off. It's still in and will continue to vacuum off any fluid, but Alan hasn't felt much relief from it's placement. They are going to send the fluid off for cultures to figure out what specific type of antibiotics to give him. Those results will probably not be back today, so it's looking like at least another night in the hospital.
