Good evening, everyone.  I told Brenda I would update on the events of today so she can focus on Alana.

Alana went into cardiac arrest this morning at home.  She was taken to the University East bank, where she's currently in a medically induced coma.  They are thinking the problem is cardiac, as there is a family history of cardiac issues.  She did have a second event of arrhythmia's (irregular heartbeats) this afternoon so they increased her sedation, putting her into a deeper coma.  They're hoping she remains stable so they don't have to pursue ECMO (which is a machine that works as the heart and lungs, ultimately giving them a rest as a machine does the work of both).

Alana and her family appreciate all the thoughts and prayers sent their way.  There is a Gofundme that has been created to help with Alana's medical bills and to help provide for her NJ while she's recovering.
