Ajay had a 6 month follow up in Houston today and his blood work was the best it’s been in nearly two years. They have taken him off his immunosuppressant meds and the heavy handed antivirals and antifungals.
Unfortunately, Ajay’s cough from the last week turned out to be a RSV infection that could be problematic if it gets worse. So far he is improving and his lungs sound clear. The lung testing done today did show a drop in his lung function so they decided not to start his childhood immunizations on this visit but will wait two months before trying to give those up him. Overall a good visit with a little bit of a setback. Fingers crossed to see continued improvement.
