Journal

He did it! 6 months seizure free and no other complications from his accident. Even though he has been living like a healthy 9 year old boy for a bit now, medically we are in the clear to let this boy run wild.

He has done incredible things in the last 6 months. He was able to take a ride in the same helicopter he rode in to UIHC with the same amazing flight nurse, he got to enjoy an "Aiden's Apple Cider" from Rubes Steakhouse and it was delicious, he turned 9, he went back to riding the bus, he permed his "miracle mullet", he chopped off his "miracle mullet", and he spent countless hours playing with his sisters and friends.

Aiden has also been absolutely crushing it in school. His teacher, Miss Becker, has worked so hard to ensure his success and with her help he has gone above and beyond. We are incredibly thankful for her, her love for Aiden, and her love for her job.

I had someone come up to me last night who hadn't seen Aiden since before his accident and she said she would have had no idea anything happened to him if she didn't know about his accident. That is something I have heard several times and even though I have seen a few changes in him they have been nothing big and nothing that has stopped him from being our sweet and chaotic Aiden boy.

He cannot wait for the weather to warm up so he can get back to fishing, bonfires, camping, riding the 4-wheeler, and jumping on the trampoline. He also can't wait to have more space to run away from his sisters who have not stopped hounding him since he has gotten home.

Thank you for following Aiden's journey and caring for our boy, we have felt all the love. We will never forget all the amazing medical staff that helped Aiden along in his healing process. We will also never stop thanking God for the amazing miracle of Aiden's complete healing!

"thank you for helping me and being there and worrying about me." Aiden
