Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Ok, I'm not really sure where to start. First of all thank you for all the texts, calls, and messages they are greatly appreciated and I'm sorry if I didn't reply to each and everyone.

Adson was in a vehicle accident last night. He suffered a bad head injury and was flown from Smith Center Hospital to Kearney and underwent surgery to relieve the pressure and blood in his head. Also has a deep laceration to his left lower leg, that is the least of the worries right now and will probably get X-rays of that tomorrow.   This morning he was showing some positive signs moving all extremities however right side is much weaker and slower to respond.  The pressure in his head was increasing as the day went on and they have increased sedation and want his brain to rest. His pupils are reactive so that is a positive sign. Right now it's a waiting game and praying that the edema doesn't get any worse. They are planning to keep him in medical induced coma for probably about a week so his brain can just rest.  I will try my best to keep you updated, however it will probably be a slow process.

Sorry I haven’t posted many updates, but it has been a waiting game and I didn’t want to sound like a broken record. We are still in Kearney (day 27) at Good Sam Hospital. Sutures were removed at the end of last week and there was an area that had a little infection. So that was our ticket to stay longer. We were hoping to get dismissed today, but there are a couple areas where the skin is very thin and not healed yet and Dr wants to watch those areas. Since the skin is so thin and fragile and blood flow to the area is decreased from multiple surgeries he is being extra cautious. We are getting stir crazy and tired of being here, but rather be safe than sorry at this point!! We are sure hoping to get home around the first part of next week!! 🤞🤞🙏🙏
