My initial surgery is confirmed for November 11th. I am right where I need to be. Thank you for the love, support, prayers, and positive vibes!

I do not really know what to say except "what a long strange trip it’s been. " I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2021 and have surgery planned prior to the end of the year (hoping for late November). My prayer is that the surgery removes all of the cancer  so I can start the road to recovery!! I cannot wait to get back to the things I love in life like walking around Chastain with my friends, watching my son Cayden play NYO sports, and jumping back in to the day-to-day at Highland Mortgage, launched early October 2020. 

I remain optimistic and am calling on my angels in heaven to watch over me and lift me up - Red Lane (my grandfather and hero), Kathryn Lane, Nell Carter, Parker Holder, Jimmy Bishop, Derek Franklin, Betsy Clements, Stephanie Colbert, James K Bishop, and Shirley Pouncey.

Two words that aren’t often seen together. Today was rough physically. Couldn’t keep anything down. And then this sweet little angel appeared. Nothing like the giggle of a 2 year old to bring so much joy. Aunt A can’t wait to jump on the trampoline with you soon Elizabeth Connell.
