Adriel “Addie” Smith is 12 years old and is fighting a rare pediatric cancer called extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma of mucosa-associated
lymphoid tissue, also known as Non Hodgkin MALT-lymphoma of the thyroid. Because this lymphoma is so rare in children, Addie has undergone many tests over weeks to discover her diagnosis- including fine needle aspiration biopsies, bloodwork,surgical biopsy, bone marrow biopsies and needle aspirations, CT scans, and PET scan. She has yet to be staged by the oncologist as she's still going through tests, including another surgery in July with additional treatments thereafter.

Sitting here waiting for them to call her name.  She keeps telling me she wants to go home.  Poor baby...  this is something she has to do every few weeks for years and years.
