Hello Everyone!

I've been meaning to post an update for some while now, but life with three kids has not afforded us with much free time!  Last week Adeline reached her one year milestone since her diagnosis. We can't believe it has already been a year! Adi has been doing great! In September, she started the "Maintenance" phase of treatment which we have been looking forward to all year.  The maintenance phase is repeated every three months until she is done with treatment around February of 2022.  It starts with a spinal tap, IV chemo and five days of steroids in conjunction with a daily at-home oral chemo every day and a different oral chemo every Monday.  We only have to take her to the clinic once a month for an IV antibiotic and lab work.  That sounds like a lot but compared to all the treatment she had the first year, it's a walk in the park.  In October, she caught a small cold and her white blood counts dropped too low so we had to hold chemo for three weeks.   Otherwise, she is still handling treatment extremely well and we are so blessed to have such a strong little girl.

In other family news, we welcomed baby Reese into the world on September 15th.   She is the epitome of a bundle of joy!  Jen did absolutely amazing and we are completely blown away at how good of a baby she has been.  It's hard to believe but she has been the easiest of our kids by a long shot!

Olivia started Kindergarten this fall and has been going in-person since October.  Her school is just down the street and she is loving it!  It only took her two months before a boy kissed her and we had a nice chat with the school dean.  Something tells me teenage years will be fun...

As we wind down 2020, I'm pretty sure everyone is looking forward to closing the book on this awful year.  We definitely feel that way too!  However, looking back on this last year we also have so much to be thankful for.  Our family has been tested more than most and we will come out on the other side stronger than ever.  Thank you to our amazing friends, neighbors, and family for always supporting us and being there when we need it.  We love you all.  Stay safe and cheers to 2021!
