Adina’s Story

Site created on January 23, 2022

Welcome to Adina's CaringBridge website. Tammy, Adina's sister will be authoring this page until/unless Adina would like to at some point as well.  In the late hours of Friday, January 21st, a massive 3 inch tumor was found in Adina's brain.  She has experienced headaches for the past year and a half, and recently intermittent blindness. She will undergo surgery to remove the mass from her brain this Tuesday, January 25. After the tumor is removed, it will take 1-2 weeks to see if it is cancerous.  As soon as the results are found out, Adina will find out the next course of treatment. We are using this page to keep family and friends updated in one place. Tammy will add updates when there is new information to share. In the ways to help section, a meal train has been started for the family. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Journal entry by Adina Neuwirth

Thank you everyone for your continued prayers. I have received the final results from my brain tumor and wanted to share the findings with everyone.

The final pathology showed the best case scenario. No brain tissue and no malignancy was found in the tumor. I am still slowly healing. But on the mend and hoping the swelling I have goes down in the next month as it’s still pretty bad.

Moving forward, I will just be monitored closely, for the rest of my life, as brain tumors can always come back so you are never “out of the woods.”

Again, thank you to everyone who prayed, donated gift cards, provided meals for my family, gifts to me, gifts for my kids, helped with my kids, and so much more. They were and still are so much appreciated!! I hope to be back to myself again in April. I’m told that’s the goal I am looking to hit!

A special thank you to my husband for stepping up to take care of our children and home. And my sister and parents who helped my family so much. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful and thankful I am to you all!! Love you all so very much!
