Journal entry by Brent & Jill Tweed

This will likely be our last post as Adam is doing so well!!
he had a full comprehensive review of his current condition on Friday in Rochester with every kind of doctor and specialist imaginable (it seems to me anyway) - he was there basically all day.

His kidneys, liver, and pancreas are all working appropriately so he won’t need medications or dialysis. This is so awesome!! (At one point they had told us he may need meds or dialysis or both ongoing...)

He still has low stamina - so he does things daily to push himself to do more. He has not been released to work yet. They feel Adam’s muscles are at 65-70% of normal - so he has a ways to go to get full strength back, too.

He still has some weekly appointments to help manage some ‘lesser’ things that have resulted from all this - the injections he has to take are painful he said but he can at least do them at home himself.

I feel so so happy and blessed that he has come this far. There was more than one point we didn’t think I’d ever be able to make this kind of post.

Adam is in pretty good spirits and has also shared how thankful he is that he’s able to do the things he is. He is very happy to be at his own house and driving, basically back to *almost* normal.

We are all so blessed. And thankful. Words aren’t enough to share our appreciation to everyone through all of this... it’s been a long five months - feels way longer.

With th the most sincere thanks -
Jill
