Adam’s Story

Site created on January 21, 2024

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We are glad you are here!

Adam was born with a faulty pulmonary valve. He had surgery at birth to repair the problem. However, as expected, fifteen years later, this valve has started to leak, and now it’s time for him to receive a new one. We are excited for this second heart surgery! Thanks for joining us for this part of our journey.

Journal entry by Meredith Dodd

As you know by now, A had open heart surgery this year.

You may not know that he also was airlifted for heart surgery as a newborn, during which time our family stayed at Ronald McDonald House.

So.

Here is a photo, taken by E, of Mike and A in kilts. They are ADORABLE. In fact, they are the adorablest entrants in the “Kilts for Kids” contest.

To help them win this contest, you can vote for them by giving a modest donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Vote early. Vote often. Because we could really use a win this year.

And so could other families like ours.

ADORABLE, I tell you!
