Journal entry by Adam Callei —
I have always said that one day I should start a blog. I just never imagined it would be to document my cancer journey. Life is always full of twist and turns but this is one path I was hoping to never have to travel. It was a month ago today that I had my second biopsy to check just what we were up against. Then the unwanted path of travel became a rocky road with even more twist and turns. A week after the biopsy I had surgery to remove the tumor or should I say cantaloupe size mass of misery along with what he thought was a cyst about the same size. Then the news came that the cyst was in fact a different type of cancer, an aggressive one that, would definitely require chemotherapy.
In a few days on Monday I will meet the oncologist to find out what and when I will start my six rounds of chemo. After chemo I will have another surgery to stage the newest cancer and from there we will just fight on….
I will try to update this page as often as possible! Have a great weekend….my little family is off to a baseball game here in about an hour! 😊
