From Mickey:

Many of you know that Terry was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis – IPF – just over 5 years ago. This terrible disease is not well understood and Terry has been lucky to be in fairly good health over that time. Recently, he had a sudden, acute exacerbation of his IPF. We first thought it may be related to his heart, but once that was ruled out the doctors thought that there was some kind of lung infection, which is always a risk with IPF patients. They were not able to pinpoint any specific infection, but think that it may have triggered this acute exacerbation of his IPF.

Terry’s condition worsened rather quickly, and he is now in ICU and has been intubated and sedated for the past week. With virtually no improvement during that time with all of the treatments the doctors have tried, we are facing the very real possibility that he may not be able to get off the ventilator.

We will give him a little more time, and are hoping and praying that he will be able to turn the corner. There is nothing to do except wait now – but your prayers would be much appreciated.

From the Family:

While visitors to the ICU will be very limited, please leave a comment for Terry in the "Well wishes" section and we'll read them to him.  https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/terrylovaasupdates/guestbook
