Let’s bring everyone up to speed… Recently Margaret was diagnosed with esophageal cancer… specifically where the esophagus meets the stomach. Initial plan was weekly chemo treatments, daily radiation and then surgery once the cancer shrinks. She is working with a great team of doctors at Orange Regional Medical Center (where she is employed), and the surgery will eventually be done at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC.
She has had to take some time off work because these initial chemo and radiation treatments have been kicking her butt. She is actually on a bit of a break from the treatments right now so she can restore her energy. Treatment resumes this coming Monday, 2/26, she is a little less then halfway through the first part of this.
Margaret’s joyful essence and all our love & prayers will get her through this challenge. Let’s all gather together here from near and far to encourage, support and love our dear friend, daughter, sister, mother… Margaret.
Hi everyone, I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone for all the support I have received already (I have truly amazing friends!!!!!) including my dear friend Debra who is helping me get this site going!
