Hello to Lynnie’s loved ones. As mom suffered from kidney stones, compounding her myelofibrosis, measures had to be attempted to alleviate the pain and her wonderful urologist tried to break up the stones and several surgeries were planned for the ensuing weeks and months. Unfortunately, and the medical team isn’t exactly sure as to why, she ended up with acute renal injury and her kidneys stopped functioning. She has required dialysis every few days as well as platelet and red blood cell transfusions....far more frequently than her status quo weekly transfusions.
