If you told me two months ago I would be writing in the middle of the night about having breast cancer, I would have said you were crazy! But guess what...It is 2 a.m. and here I am. On November 8, 2019 I got the call from my doctor saying I had breast cancer. In their terms Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I have two tumors, a few specs of cancer and one area on a lymph node in one breast. Both tumors are HER2 positive and grade 3 which means these tumors are aggressive!
My journey is just beginning as I look ahead to a year of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation. But the best words I heard from my oncologist was this is curable, we caught it early (stage 2) and YOU got this.
I am here...I am a fighter...and cancer doesn't know what just hit them with me in the drivers seat!
