As many of you know, Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2021.  I'm sure you wont be surprised to know that she has been blessed with many family and friends that check in with her quite often.  She treasures you all, and hates the fact that she cannot reach back out to you as quickly as she would like to.  This is why we thought it would be a good idea for her and you to have this site to check in on.

Here is a quick recap of her fight thus far.
April/June 2021- she was diagnosed with an Invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC).
June- present-  Xray(s), MRI(s), CT scan(s), Genetic testing,  PET scan, mediastinoscopy, EKG(s), Fluoroscopy port placement, Transthoracic Echocardiogram, Blood draws, Blood cultures, [3] Chemotherapy Infusions, Hydration therapy, Antibiotic Infusion Therapy AND most all the side effects that come with chemotherapy.
Oct 5th- she will ring the Chemo Bell at the clinic after her 4th and final infusion. (a tradition after your final chemo treatment that signifies winning a round of the fight against cancer).
It has been a journey.  She is a fighter, but cancer is no joke.
The next 4 weeks, she will fight the side effects of chemo once and for all.  She will build up strength and get ready for surgery.
November 4th is surgery day.  Followed with radiation a few weeks after that.

We will keep you updated.
I know that she would love to hear from you.  If you'd like to drop a note or card in the mail please do so.

Thank you for all your support.

Love,  Leland, Erik, Amy, Mike & Jonna
