The lives of Jan, Alex and Jack tragically ended on Saturday, February 22, 2020. We are using this site to share information with family and friends, and to give people a place to share their memories and condolences. Memorial service information is posted below.

Out of respect and concern for family and friends, if you or anyone in your family are showing symptoms of COVID-19, including fever, cough, and shortness of breath, we strongly encourage you to stay home. If you are at a high risk category or feel you should avoid gatherings of people due to risk, we understand your need to stay at home. Your thoughts and prayers can still be with us!
Services will be held on Saturday, March 14, at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd, Apple Valley, MN.

Jan, Alex and Jack left behind an immense number of friends - from all phases of their lives. We welcome pictures, stories and memories that will help reflect the many positive and beautiful parts of their lives. Sadly, the media focus on this heartbreaking situation obscures the reality of who we knew Jan, Jack and Alex to be. There are so many memories of "Jan and her boys" and those are the thoughts and memories on which we want to dwell. We particularly thank those of you who have spoken up about Alex and mental illness. Anyone who knew Jan knows that she was a loving and forgiving person, and that she loved her boys deeply and fiercely, and would never allow unfair disparagement of either of her sons.
