On Saturday, March 23rd, (after having Influenza A & B for about a month) Ernie was rushed to the hospital after Annette discovered he was unable to move. Upon being admitted, he was initially diagnosed with Sepsis. Further tests revealed that he also had two different kinds of strokes. Ischemic (which has two types in itself), Thrombotic and Embolic. Dad had an Embolic.  This was caused when a wandering clot that was formed on his heart was carried through the bloodstream and landed in his brain. The other is an Intracerebral Hemorrhage which occurs when a blood vessel bleeds or ruptures into the tissue deep within the brain. Extremely rare to have both at the same time. The issue is that one requires a thinner and the other requires a thickner to treat. And on top of all that, he still has Sepsis and his mitral valve has 3.25 cm of vegetation (bacteria).
