HOORAY the new treatments have begun!
Way to go, Kaitlyn for sticking yourself! Awesome.
About decimals and percentages, if you like to shop, using a catalog and setting "sales" and figuring it out that way is a bit more fun than mere pad and pencil. Making a game out of it, where you fill your bag or suitcase full of the clothes you "figure out correctly" can make it more fun. And, after you've played it awhile, you can even figure out your average number of correct answers, and watch them change through out the year as you get better and better at it.
Could even use the post cards you've gotten, count them and figure out what percentage came from each state/other countries and etc. Just a thought.
YaHoo Andrew. Good for you for taking 4 college classes during this your Senior year! Hope you'll pace yourself along the way, and enjoy it as well as thrive on the work.

Hi Folks!
Just stopping by to let you know I'm thinking of your tonight. Am about to "hit the hay" (we DO have strange expressions, yes?!), but wanted to at least give a quick hello.
Am excited that all my ceramic Pillar/vase Angels are finished (for the conference/bartering). They've turned out really awesome. Some look spunkish, some cute and playful, some wise, some calm and serene. It was a neat process....had lots of Divine Inspiration/assistance. Will finish my cards by weeks end...that'll give me some time to rest before it's time to go. Am getting really excited. It's the only time of year I go off anywhere. (otherwise it's short jaunts in my e.w.chair for about 45 minutes, and my once a month errand day...otherwise, Pandy's daily runs get me out breathing the fresh air several times a day)
The Deer (at the retreat center) and I have a 2 am "date"...I bring the apples and they gift me with their presence!
Hope to hit the pool at least once while I'm out. The fellowship is great, as are the workshops and singing. The food is wonderful too(no cooking or cleaning up---a BIG blessing). And it's soooo quiet, as compared to my apartment building and living downtown on a main thoroughfare! Pandy will get to have a "doggie vacation"...she gets to go play with other dogs, bark, dig in the dirt, role in "stinky stuff" and do all the things she doesn't ordinarily get to do. It's hard being without her, but she deserves a vacation, too, and with 300-500 folks, that's OVERWORK for her...so I practice asking for assistance and she rejoices in being a d-o-g! A friend comes in and looks after my birds and plants...so it all works out nicely. Have a ride there and back, and someone to help me set up my stuff and get my things into my room.
Had my "wonderings" if I'd really be able to get everything together and have my health hold out...but Wow oh Wow, it's really happening! HOoray.
Well, family, thanks for letting me share a bit of my life and world with you. Will lift you all up in prayer~song while I'm away, but hope to write at least once more before I go. How about we lift eachother up in prayer~song?

Hi Everyone!
Glad the cards are coming in from all over: That's par excellent! Glad you've got a map of the world as well. It was neat of you to take time to write. Please be assured of much continued prayer~songs and warm support.
I'm pausing in the middle of painting a Pillar Angel (a ceramic Angel leaning against a pillar, that can be used for fireplace matches or water and a shoot of bamboo). Am waiting for the latest coat of paint to dry. The pillar is a mottled blue and iris, like the background of the material that will be her sash. Her sash also has irridescent stars on it in all colors. Her wings are the palest iris, sprinkled with glitter, and her earings are tiny dots of the darker color. Her hair is walnut brown, and her skin is a lovely tan shade. Next I will varnish her, and then paint her eyes/brows/lashes, lips, fingernails and toenails. I just finished one 2 days ago with the palest ivory skin and black hair. Her pillar is black, as is her hair. Her sash is black with bright purple, peach and gold butterflies on it...and I decopaged some of the butterflies to the pillar. She's beautiful. Her eyes are blue...she looks a bit Irish. I'm making them to barter for a Spirituality conference I'm going to for a week in July. Between the ceramics and my cards, I barter enough for attendance plus room and board. It's a really neat thing I've done for the past 3 years. I must really push myself, and work around health issues, but it's well worth every bit of focus it takes! Lots of great singing and terrific workshops, fellowship and etc.
My, didn't this turn out long and chatty! Thanks for allowing me to pause and share in your world and share a bit about mine as well.

Hope school is going well for you. I got my report card last week. I guess Dad & Mom were happy with my grades because I did not get "grounded" I made 1 'A' 2 B's, & 1'C". I really need to work on the math a bit more. THe teacher says I am starting to work on grade level, so this makes dad real happy!!! Mom doesn't complain too much. She is just happy to see me doing my homework(I do give her a hard time of it!!!) I can tell you one thing......It is COLD up here is it in your area of SC.. Hope you & Andrew are keeping Mom & Dad warm...Ha Ha!!! We went all the way down to 19 degrres(before wind chill factor!!!!). Well I won't keep ya. Hope you are having a GREAT week.

Wowsers!! Where was I when your family set up a CaringBridge home page?? Kaitlyn, I remember your mom commenting in an e-mail note that she didn't know if she would be able to set one up, and yet, here it is!! Congratulations!

Kaitlyn, did you and your brother ever get around to trying the Harry Potter crossword puzzles and jumbles that I sent you around Halloween? Do you need any help (i.e., answers) to finish them? Some of my adult friends, who enjoy reading about the adventures of Harry Potter, are trying out the puzzles and jumbles, too.

I'm sorry, Kaitlyn, that your body is not cooperating with your plan to be as healthy as possible. What's with the nosebleeds?

How was your Thanksgiving? Where did you go? What are your favorite foods to eat on Thanksgiving? My favorites are stuffing and pumpkin pie. This year we had a Thanksgiving potluck dinner at church, so I only had to prepare one dish, which was absolutely fine by me! My husband is in India right now, so it was nice to have a "spiritual family" to hang out with since he's not home.

Have you had any migraines lately? Gosh, I hope not. I have had migraine-type headaches in the past. I don't know how you cope. Since I started getting chiropractic care, my headaches are rare and not as devastating as before.

Congratulations again on getting a CaringBridge page set up! Xan, I hope you're feeling much better and have recovered from whatever bug it was that you knocked you down. One of my adult friends who is usually as fit as a fiddle caught something that knocked her for a loop. So far (knock on wood!) I haven't caught anyone else's colds at work. (fingers crossed!)
