Good Evening,

Same crap just another day. I arrived late to the hospital today had to do some laundry and I didn't wake up till late since I was up late working with Mel/Dylan's mom on Carter's new site. I still don't have it all up and running but you can visit it if you would like some of it is working. His new site will be www.carterfinger.com

I was not happy about Carter's counts today his total WBC count is still only 0.2 I thought for sure today it was going to go up. I really want them to before he has to get his stem cells back. We only have 2 rescue doses left and I don't want to have to use any of them just yet.

Carter played alot of catch with his nerf football in his room today. Pretty uneventful day. Howard went back to Islin NJ to pay for another 12 days of parking that is the max that he can pay at one time. If you leave your car more than that they give you a ticket. So he moved to another parking space and paid for the 12 days of parking and we will have to go back to pay for more and move the van once again to a new spot.

Howard is staying at the Ronald tonight. I cannot beleive there are only about 2 weeks till christmas. I still have to decorate our Ronald room door for the contest and put up some kind of tree in the room or at the hospital for the kids. Just not sure where to set it up yet. I was hoping to see his counts come up so that maybe we would have a better idea of where we would be at.

Mariah had such a nice day today. She called me this evening and told all about Mrs. Persinger and Mrs. Zissis taking her shopping and totally spoiling her for the day. Her exact words were "They must be rich!!!!!!!" Mrs Persinger was Mariah's second grade teacher and Mrs. Zissis is Carter's 1st grade teacher. Thank you girls you have no idea how much of an impact you made on my daughter today! Your truly wonderful woman to take this time during the busy holiday season to treat Mariah! She is such a special girl and a good child! I am so very proud of her!
I also wanted to thank all the teachers and staff at Chartiers Valley Primary school that pitched in to purchase the kids christmas gifts. You guys are all great!!!!!!!
Thanks for continuing to pray!!!!

Sorry about the messed up wish list I am trying to delete items as they are purchased and I keep screwing it up but I will keep trying.

Good Evening,

Not much really going on here. Carter is feeling better today and has been playing Nerf football with Mom and Dad all day. His apetite could be better but hopefully that comes with time. His cultures all came back negative. This includes his port cultures, his stool cultures and his nose swab culture. The only thing they can relate his fever to is -0- counts.

Howard and I are in the process of creating a new web site for Carter it will include photo's links and much much more. When it is ready we will post the link onto Carter's caringbridge site. It will be called carterfinger.com I will let everyone know when it is ready.

It really stinks to be inpatient at the hospital when there is so much fun going on at Ronald. They are having parties just about every night and gift giving. I know Carter would really enjoy all of that but we will just have to suck it up.

As far as his counts today they were on the uprise except for his platelets.

WBC - .3
PLTS -- 17K he received a transfusion today
HGB 9.6
ANC 0.2 This is higher than yesterday so I am hoping we will see a rise even better on Sunday.

One of our close friends we have met here has arranged for Carter to receive the Nintendo WII for christmas. Her nail salon here in Manhattan raised the money in about 3 days how wonderful is that????????

I am really hoping that his counts recover before he gets his stem cells back and we can nix the stem cell rescue idea. His next step is radiation to his main tumor site so that should not effect the counts so much I think he could make it through that. It all depends on whether his marrow recovers or not. I can have wishful thinking right?

Thanks to Dad coming I have been able to go back to Ronald every night and get alot of much needed sleep. I never sleep in past 9:00 and I am sleeping until 10:00 and 11:00 everyday. Must have really needed it.

Please pray that Carter's counts continue to recover and he may not need stem cells.

Please visit lunchforlife.org and donate to Carter's Tree his tree only has 102 ornaments on it. His giving tree code is 21278

Love Rhonda
