Dear Robyn and Dave, I have to disagree with your description of your family photo as not so great. If you wanted a perfect picture you should of had girls. My nieces love getting their picture taken. My observation is, in general, boys don't care about pictures. Girls do. Right now Will and Patrick have very shaggy hair. They are shaving it off next week for the cancer research charity St. Baldrick's. No real sacrifice because they love being bald, but it's a great cause and alot of fun! Jill Renton

I hope you've enjoyed the Holidays and I want you to know I am holding you up in prayer as you approach that horrible anniversary date. I can only imagine what "relapse" must be like. I pray you breeze through this time and that it's filled with love, calm, peace, joy and happiness! I also want to wish you a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2007! Wow! Dear David and Robyn, That picture of you two in Mexico made me so happy! It's night and day better than last Jan. isn't it? Of course it's kind of scary to be using the word happy when you are dealing with cancer. I often knock on wood when I tell people how well Will is doing. So we try not to worry when we see a bruise on one of our kids and we use words like "jaded" and "cautious". Still, it's so GREAT to read that Oliver's test results keep coming back clear and he looks so good. I'm sure that you will understand what I mean when I wish you guys a nice and "boring" holiday vacation! Jill, Dave, Will and Patrick

SO glad to hear that Oli is doing well, despite the numberous 'conditions' of his daily life. At least you have some comfort in knowing that he doesnt realize his life is different from other kids and hopefully one day VERY SOON he will be able to do everything that other kids his age can do and that all of this will just be in your past.

I hope that you and Robyn are doing ok and getting some rest and time together - maybe a date night here and there! I wish we were there to babysit the kids so you could go to dinner, movie...those things really help!!

Sending much love and strength to you!

Anyway, I am so thrilled to read about your fantastic weekend get a way and see the pictures. You deserved this time so much. I LOVE the OR coast. What did Oli do? Did he try to eat the sand? Did he try to walk right into the ocean? I remember a couple of my girls trying to eat the sand, one of them wouldn't even touch the sand and another one tried to walk right into the ocean waves! Kids are so unique! I'm sure Jacob loved it too! A helicopter ride! Wow!

Your always in my prayers.

Hey Guys,
Hang in there. I'm sure isolation must be incredibly hard for you and the boys. We are thinking of you and hope that Oli can kick his infection soon. I'm sure those docs will figure out what is going on. We hope that the answers come soon so that you can go home and relax a little. Love you guys!!

Dear David & Robyn ~ You've got another member for Team Oliver! I recently learned of what you all have been enduring in the last year, and wanted to let you know that I am thinking my most positive thoughts and prayers for you, Oliver, Jacob, your family and friends. As a friend of Dave's from high school and college, I’d like to let a few more of our mutual friends know about Oliver. I hope you don't mind, but hopefully adding some extra members to Team Oliver will help send even more positive energy and love to you all. You are awesome parents -- I wish you an unending supply of strength and courage, and....lots more prayers of course for positive test results for Oliver, and continued triumph for you all. My heart is with you. P.S. If there is anything I can do from Denver (even rides to the airport for your family), please let me know.

Robyn, I want to wish you a Happy Mother's Day. I know it is so wonderful to see both your boys playing together as brothers do, and I'm so glad Oliver is feeling better. You are such an amazing Mother. I admire your courage, strength, and your faith that always shines through.

It's great to hear good news. I've been following your heartbreaking account of Oliver and your strength through all of this. Mary Slaven Hawks (a high school friend of Barbara Phelps) Barbara, you're in my thoughts and prayers. My grandsons are the same age as Oliver and Jason.

Robyn, Glad to hear Oliver is feeling better. The new pictures are great. The picture that shows Oliver's profile looks just like Grandaddy. I guess he should look like Grandaddy since he is partly named after him. Too funny........Love, Kim
