Our Prayers are with you! We serve a GREAT BIG WONDERFUL GOD! There is a song that goes through my mind when I think of you...

I walk through a valley so dark and so long
The sun did not shine there but a lily did grow
Again my heart question How can this be
Again Jesus whispers I AM WITH THEE.

I AM WITH THEE
I AM WITH THEE
THROUGH THE FIRE
THROUGH THE FLOOD
YOU ARE COVERED BY THE BLOOD
FOR I AM WITH THEE.

May God continue to Bless you! We love you!

Hi, John & Deb!

We are having a cookout with Dan & Vicki and their boys. We ate a brat & hamburger for you. I made jigglers for the boys but didn't do too great about cutting them out. I never put the pan in hot water. You know how it is... when all else fails, read the directions. Ha!

I have to go before Vicki tries to wash all my dishes. I'm trying to tell her that we do have a dishwasher, but I think she has a short attention deficit!

Give our regards to Todd. Tell John that we only live a few hours away. Come on down!! We love you and are praying for you. God bless!

Love you, Paula

Hi Debbie, John, & Kody, =*)
I'm not sure if you remember us or not, but we met about 10 years ago. We went to the Camden church & we did that weekend together for the youth at Binghamton Camp in the fall. That was fun & it was fun getting to know you & John. Also Sis. Mooshian stayed with you guys & spoke highly of you all. We have been praying for you and thinking of you over the years. We have 2 boys now, Lucas-7yrs & Caleb-~3yrs. Life is never dull with boys!!!!!!!!! We are now in PA- Dan works with a funeral home here and I get to stay home with the boys-a definitely full time job too!!! It was so good to read that you are doing better and got to go away for a vaca. We have become friends with friends of yours from Indiana too- Kevin & Paula Shaw. In fact, we are to go to their place tomorrow. Paula may be going to Uzbekastan soon for a few weeks, in preparation to adopt. I will give her your web page address tomorrow. Keep encouraged and looking to Jesus, who is able to sustain you and keep you in His wonderful care. If you and John & Kody would ever want to come here to PA- we are near Hershey, you are sooooo welcome!!!! We could get you tickets to the park at a great discount too!!! Or Lancaster is only 1 hour away and there is much to do there. Just email us and let us know. Love in Christ, Dan & Vicki Bubb & boys

He weighed 9lbs 3oz. and was 21" long. He really was almost 3 weeks early. He didn,t want to eat. He just slept all the time. He had to go back to NICU for treatment for jaundice which was quite high. He was in there for 2 days but now he is well. He looks like Rachel did when she was born. Lots of black hair. I hear you are doing pretty good. I have been out of things. I stayed with them for 2 weeks. I hope you can come in some time. We love you and are praying for you.
Love Aunt Brenda and Uncle Steven and Cousin Christa

Debbie,
I am glad you are home and are doing better. It is cold here. I will be glad when it is warm weather. You can get out more then. You and Maxine have fun and go to the antique stores. You will soon have another little boy cousin. Rachel and Jeremy are due in 5 weeks. Hurry and get well so you can come out here and see him when he his born. He is due April 14 but if he came on April 7, that would be on Charles birthday. I remember he came on Easter Sunday in 1974. I won,t tell how old he is.

I,m sorry you didn,t get to have the surgery today but it,s good they caught it. Aspirin can really make you bleed and you sure don,t need that. I know it,s hard to be ready for something and then have to wait but we will all have longer to pray and you can continue to make more progress. We are so thrilled you are doing so well. Robin likes for me to keep her updated on your condition. She is putting stents in hearts now. She is out of the Navy now and is in cardiology in Cinn. It,s hard to believe that you and her were my little flower girls. Time has flown. We love you very much. We are going to Howard and Frances' tomorrow. Hi Deb! It was sooo good to get to spend some time with you last week. All the shopping, eating, antique-ing, and laughing was really fun. And of course, have to mention playing dominoes, TODD!! Like I said, I really don't care if I loose but I do LOVE to win :-)
Debbie, I'll have to say, tears came to my eyes when we were walking through the mall. I've been to that mall many times while you were in the hospital, and it was just so awesome to be able to walk through the mall with you! God is so good. It was such a blessing to see you play the piano at church too. Hang in there, you're going to make it! My heart will be there with you as you go through this next surgery Fri. I'll give you some time to recuperate then I want an email with all those Tom Swifty jokes ok?
John, You are awesome! I'm so glad Debbie waited for the right one. Thanks so much for taking good care of her.
Kody, Karris and Kyler pray for you all the time. You'll have to send them an email soon.
Maxine, thanks so much for making my stay comfortable~you are doing great with all the responsibilities that you have (especially putting up with Todd :-) We are praying for you too.
Todd, thank you for letting me beat you in dominoes! And thanks so much for the time you spend in keeping us updated on Debbie. I know you've been a great help to all of them there.
Love, Jenny

P.S. Did I mention that Todd lost in dominoes

Hello Deb and family! So good to hear Debbie will soon be home. Insurance or no insurance, we know God is always beside her and will never leave. One scripture that has meant alot to me through everything is Isaiah 41:13, "For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand saying unto thee, Fear not; I WILL help thee." It's so comforting to know God is right beside us holding our hand so we don't fall!!! Deb, you and all your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Hi Debbie,
Your Mom and Christa and I shopped in the pouring rain today. We ate at Ryan,s. Steve stuck with his diet and ate only sugar free desserts. Of course I pigged out as usual. WE did some Christmas shopping and the guys sat in the car and caught up on the news. They let us off at the door but when we came out we didn,t know where they parked so Christa went out and wandered through the parking lot in the pouring rain looking for them. She couldn,t find them so I went out and finally found them at the end of the row.

Hey Deb!
How's life at St Camillus? I know it's not the grandest place in the world, but thank God you will soon be home. Some of the girls that were in my LPN class are probably helping to take care of you. Have you come across Chandra Peters yet? Remember she was the missionary kid who came to do a mission service for us. And Holly Hathaway was the teenager in our class, she works on 2nd floor also. Have you been playing piano there for everyone? You may be able to get on a computer for therapy and visit this site on the internet. They also have computer down in the sunshine room if you haven't found it yet. It's a nice room to hang out with your visitors. Love ya lots. Liz is getting ready to have this baby any day--we'll let you know when he or she arrives. Keep looking up to the Source of your strength and before you know it you will be home sweet home again!!! It's hard to believe that so many years have passed since then but I certainly have many fond and funny memories of you!! Choir tour was never boring when you were around!! Debbie, we saw the pictures today, and you're beautiful. Truly, wonderfully, beautiful. No amount of surgery, no amount of bandages, no amount of "hospital surroundings", can cover up that beauty; because it comes from within a spirit, and a purity of spirit, that God has blessed you with, and all of us who know you also know your spirit, and are blessed by it. Your beauty shines through, your strength amazes us, and your kind, gentle spirit moves us all.

Thank you for being who you are, and know that we love you. Thank you for giving us hope, because God has worked miracles in your life. Thank you for being the wonderful person you are, and letting us be a part of your life. May God bless you, and may His still, small voice guide you through the rest of your journey, and draw you closer to Him. Our prayers are with you always.

I have cried & praised God as I read of what you have been through and the progress you have made in past mo. or so. Dear Debbie and Family, Just a quick note to say that we are praying for you and your family. We are so encouraged about your progress and praying that God continues to touch you. Thank you, Todd, for the great job you do with the updates. Taking care of a dog and a child is not something I would picture you doing but you know I think God wanted to expand your horizons!!!

Hey Deb!
My internet has been down since lovely Hurricane Jeanne. We may not have it for awhile,so I am using my sister in laws computer. I had to catch up with you Deb. You are quite the girl to keep up with. I am pleased to hear of your progress. One day at a time, right? When I look at the "big" picture of life, I get discouraged. I guess that's why Jesus said, "Take no thought for the tommorrow, for tommorrow will take thought for the things of itself." Enjoy today! Love ya, Kathy Schafer and family

Hey Kody! I'm sure your Mama is proud of you for being such a big boy and a good helper lately. It sounds like you are keeping Todd busy. That is a good thing because it keeps him out of trouble. And he needs somebody to keep him in line. Take good care of Nellie and tell Todd to put her picture here on the website instead of HIS. :) I think she has a bigger fan club than him!!
Love,
Debbie

Dear Deb: I can't tell you how humbled I am to be your Pastor. To see you endure these difficult times causes me to step back and evaluate your life and Christian experience. For over three weeks now, you have not been able to pray as you regularly do, read your Bible, or attend worship services, but the cause of your spiritual strength and resolve during this time is because of your faithfulness when you were physically well and able. You were faithful in every church service, keeping your prayer life and spiritual priorities in place. Some people fail to realize that our faithfulness to God in the good times, requires His faithfulness to us in the bad times. He loves you dearly Deb, and He has not, nor will He ever leave you, or forsake you. Thank you for being such a wonderful example of Christian perfection to me.
Lovingly, Sr. Wallick

Dear Debbie and John, I was told about this site while in Blind River, Ontario, Canada at the Ladies' Retreat on the Mississaugi Reservation. Lydia Raines told me how much you have meant to her in her walk with the Lord. Mary, Doug and Shara Derscheid have all shared good things about you with me in the past. My husband and sons hunt with your husband (and his brother and father)almost every year in PA, so I feel close, though I have never met you. We have been praying for you and sharing your site with our children.
Hold tight to your faith, and may you feel the Great Hand of God holding you, and may He hold you "Near to the Heart of God". He does, Dears. Keep believing, and keep "leaning hard" on Him!
With love, in Christ, George and Linda Kelley

Debbie, John, Kody, Todd and family members,
Yesterday, at our church here in Bloomingdale, we sang the song Day by Day. A couple of phrases caught my attention and I felt I should convey them to you. Day by day and with each passing moment, Strength I find to meet my trials here....Every day the Lord Himself is near me with a special mercy for each hour. Isn't that encouraging! On the first Sunday of the month, we have special prayer around the altar for special needs and you were brought to the altar yesterday. Be assured of our continued prayers for each of you. Yes, I agree that piano playing is real therapy, keep it up.

Deb,John,Kody,Br.& Sr.Stalker,Todd & Charlie: You have been given strength and courage to face this unknown pathway. And that path is not always clearly in view,(as yesterday Sept. 22nd when we experienced Deb's 2nd surgery). But how wonderful that Jesus is there to guide us on the way, step by step. This old song brings consolation and comfort in those times when shadows, rather than sunshine fall across the path of life:
"Are there crosses too heavy to carry, and burdens too heavy to bear, are there heartaches and tears and anguish, and no one who seems to care? Are there shadows of deep disappointment, and trusts that have proven untrue; has the darkness of night settled round you, has your hope and your faith wavered too? Has the storm over-shadowed your sunshine, and life lost attraction for you, have the dreams that you cherished been broken, is your soul filled with bitterness too?" BUT WAIT A MINUTE! Listen to the answer the songwriter gives: "Standing somewhere in the shadows you'll find Jesus, He's the Friend who always cares and understands. Standing somewhere in the shadows you will find Him, and you'll know Him by the nail-prints in His hands." Jesus IS taking you through this! We love you all!

Hello to all of you. I just wanted to say something today--don't really know what, except that we are constantly praying for Debbie and for all of you! It is so hard to see her suffer like this and our hearts are breaking. I know each day seems to crawl by! Keep looking to Jesus for strength! I KNOW that's what Debbie wants us to do. We went to UBC revival last night and I just couldn't help but think of soooo many memories there--lots of funny ones (there were always fun times when Debbie was around) and then those times when we felt God so close and the times we sought God together for His plan for our lives. It's so neat to look back over those years and see how God has lead us to this point. I know Debbie never wanted anything less than God's perfect will for her life. That was a comfort to me last night, knowing that she is HIS child. The song Sis. Dickerson chose for the Sun. a.m service when we were there a couple of weeks ago was so fitting!!
"Day by Day" '...the protection of His child and treasure, IS A CHARGE THAT ON HIMSELF HE LAID. As your days, your strength shall be in measure. This pledge to me He made'.
That song has not left my mind since that Sun. I'm so glad God is in charge of Debbie and He sees the pain you all are suffering because you love her so much. Our prayer is that you will feel God close today and that He will give Debbie complete recovery!
Love,

Debbie, The Ladies' Retreat in Blind River, Ontario has kept you on the prayer list for the entire retreat. We have been excited as we have read how God has been answering prayer on your behalf. Praise the Lord for all He has done and all He is going to do for you and your famly. "God has your name written in the palm of His hand, and only special, important things are ever written there!" That is what our speaker used one session for her subject. Just think how important YOU are to HIM. Another one of her sayings was "Isn't God so incredibly GOOD to us? It is just awesome the love He has for his children." God IS so good!!!

Hey Deb, What a great way to keep in touch with you everyday. It is good to keep track of your progress, though many miles away! The hurricanes coming through have kept us praying in Florida. We got to see Lee and Nancy when they came through. Today we had an incident happen that reminded me of Kody. Bruce and I had to go pick up our car from the shop. While we were gone our little angels were carrying on and Debbie called 911. The police ended up at our door, but other than that all was well. I wonder if they learned that from Kody?!!! Just kidding. I hope Kody likes school and is doing well. Did he get a dog? Your cousin keeps mentioning a dog I never heard of. Well, I am rambling on so I'll quit. John, Debbie, keep your hand in God's and He'll see you through!! Keep looking up! Kathy and family

This note is from Sharon; I visited Debbie this morning (Thurs. Sept. 16), and was very encouraged when Debbie opened an eye and recognized me, squeezed and held my hand, and spoke "Hello" quietly!!! She even managed a smile, and was responsive all during the visit. She nodded when asked questions, too. I'm so encouraged by her progress, and want to thank you all for continuing to pray for her - PLEASE keep it up. It's going to be a long road to full recovery, but we're seeing good things already. What a strong and wonderful person she is!

Debbie, John and little adorable Kody -
This is Crystal, John Lane's daughter. Dad has kept myself, my mom, my sister, his mom and countless others aware of your life as we know it. It is simply a miracle what has transpired in the last 10 or so days.
The dictionary defines a miracle as: An event or effect contrary to the established constitution and course of things, or a deviation from the known laws of nature; a supernatural event, or one transcending the ordinary laws by which the universe is governed.
I say this:
A miracle is one that leaves you breathless, speechless, in awe. It is a manner of events that are unexplainable. A miracle not only defines the situation particular to one person - it has a profound affect on everyone (no matter the degree) involved. Testimony of God, faith, prayer, love and all good things in life are forever present in a miracle.
Deb - you are a miracle and you have created a miracle for all of us to believe in. Keep up the good work, stay strong, know you are loved by many and most importantly by God.
We all love you, continue to pray for you, John and Kody.
See you soon ;-)

Deb, it is a privilege for Sr. Dickerson and I to be your Pastors. Matter-a-fact we are very humbled to be your servants. To experience our God who is interested in the very texture of our days is overwhelming. You are sleeping tonight after surgery. You have no idea right now what has even happened to you. But your God has drawn very near to you in these past hours, when you were unaware of His presence. But there have been cries made to Him on your behalf and He has not only heard, but He has answered. Now we pray that He will give you His healing touch, as your body rests, mends and responds. We love you Deb. You, John & Kody are very precious to us and all our church family.
Jesus, please accept our thanks and praise tonight for not failing to be in our midst today. We are NOT ashamed to call you Saviour, Lord and Friend.
