Brady,
You are a gift and a special mention each day in my prayer list. A pillar of strength and courage - YOU ARE! But most of all, my forever friend, YOU are YOU and that is a miracle beyond measure. God bless you always.

The events of this past Saturday afternoon prompted us to look up the Brady Beran story. Our grandson plays football in the Elkhorn Valley Waterloo Midget League for the Malcolm Clippers. His friend and co-player, Derek Ruth was injured in much the same way as Brady. Reading Brady's story gave us a positive outlook into Derek's future. He too is a fine youngster with a great personality and so much going for him. We are pleased to have our grandson associated with him and the others on the team. Derek plays each sport that he joins with great passion but off the field or court has perfect manners and a quick smile that make one realize what a great young person he is. We offer our prayers for his full recovery and for his family to sustain their strength throughout the coming months. Also we are glad to hear that Brady has accomplished so much in his young life. Thank you for sharing your story.

The events of this past Saturday afternoon brought to mind the story of Brady Beran. Our grandson, Dustin, plays on the newly formed Malcolm Clippers team of the Elkhorn Valley Waterloo Midget League in which his friend, Derek Ruth, sustained a brain trauma injury. Derek is now hospitalized and in the early crucial days of recovery. After re-reading the stories of Brady Beran we found hope for the youngster that we have come to know over the past two years. He is a competitor in all of the sports he loves and still a well-mannered young lad. We ask for thoughts and prayers for Derek and his family. It is very heartwarming to hear of Brady's successful recovery and what he has done with his life. We believe that all things are possible through prayer and love.

Brady,
Happy 21st Birthday! I had to laugh when I read what your Dad said about not wasting any brain cells on your 21st bithday! I think most parents feel that way! Congratulations on being dismissing from Madonna therapy! That is a huge accomplishment. You are an amazing young man. I hope I have a chance in the future to hear one of your modivational speeches.

Carol and Family,
When I read that it has been 3 1/2 years since Brady started his physical therapy, I just sort of shake my head. It is so amazing how Brady is still making and seeing improvements! I definitely agree with you, it is because of Brady perseverance, faith and lots of prayer!
God bless you for continuing to keep us all up dated.

Carol,
I agree with you it is defininately OKAY to feel a little melancholy once in a while. In fact look at the spelling of melancholy and you even find the word "holy" in it!

Tell Brady that I liked the great picture of him and short story in the new Madonna calendar.

Wishing you all a very blessed 2008. Holly

Tom, Carol, Brady,
I got one entry behind on reading the updates and wouldn't you know, it was the one I've been waiting for!!! Congratulations on being selected as a Madonna Gold Star Honoree. I was just visiting Madonna recently and was reading all of the stories of past honorees and I thought to myself, "Someday Brady's picture will be here, I just know it." Brady, you are such a great example of faith, determination, and perserverance. We are proud to know you. Keep it up! From The Pohlen's
