Welcome to my STOP IBC Journey. It’s been a long road since December 1999. This website is about much more than just my health.

I want to make people aware of a little-known type of cancer called Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC). It is the most aggressive, deadly, and misdiagnosed type of breast cancer. I have dedicated myself to STOP IBC so that my daughter and future generations won’t have to suffer.

Lucky for me, I have met wonderful people along the way who are as passionate as I am. We lobby Congress for breast cancer research dollars; and attend breast cancer conferences to further our education and which gives us more clout as patient advocates.

I am also grateful to have such a loving, supportive family without which I wouldn’t be able to function.

And, ultimately, I give thanks to God for life and this journey.

hello folks, this is Brant McKinney thanking all who has visited this site over the years to follow Debbie's journey. She has touched so many people in her fight to conquer this disease. But she also had the grace to carry on even when she knew she couldn't win this fight. She has inspired me to live on in the manner she would be proud of, to raise our children to be leaders in their own respect. We are doing fine and are looking forward to each and every day as a new start. This will be the last journal entry for this site.
