Hey Courtney! Just checked out Lindy's website and guestbook for the first time. Relieved to hear Lindy is doing well. After my own emergency surgery at the end of August and having spent Sept, Oct and Nov tracking my own recovery process, I gravitate toward finding out more about those who've had to be brave like Lindy. I think Lindy is truly ready to take over the world now! :)

I check your's and Gabe's site often to keep up with their courageous battles. Though perhaps not where hoped for, their vigilence, strength and progress are encouraging and seem to be moving in a positive direction. Praise the Lord!! Did you watch the 133rd Kentucky Derby on Saturday? I met the winner, Street Sense, during a visit to his barn a few days before the Derby. He was so relaxed and comfortable in his stall. I visited only two barns that week because there were only two horses I really liked. My favorite was Hard Spun because after he did his workout one morning, he was coming in and I was standing on the rail of the backside and he turned and looked right at me, then smiled and winked at me! I think he was trying to tell me how much he liked the track and to let me know he was going to do well in the Derby! So I had to go to Hard Spun's barn to meet him. When I got to his barn, his trainer was walking him around and I was able to get some really good photos of him. But Street Sense was in his stall and just as laid back as could be--not at all interested in posing for photos. I'll try to send the best photos by email.

Be sure to route for Street Sense in the Preakness later this month. But, if Street Sense can't win, cheer for Hard Spun because his trainer is a very good man and deserves to win a Triple Crown race.

One year soon we will have to talk your dad and mom into letting you girls take off school and come up to Louisville for Derby week. It's so much fun. Knowing your parents, I'm sure we'll have to wait until you girls are in college because I can't imagine them taking you out of school (even though it would be a great educational experience!). Even Queen Elizabeth II came to the Derby this year! Now we just need Princesses Lindy and Kate!
