What a nice update. (I also remember where I was during the O.J. thing...you're not alone.)

I love Lily so much. Since the day she was born I was such a proud auntie and the little person she is now...you would believe about angels being on earth. She is an old soul in a tiny body and I just love talking with her. She is special in so many ways. She is here for a reason and you can't help but look at her and think that she's going to "do" something amazing with her life or just have an impact on people. (Which she already has. :) ) Looking forward to celebrating her big day with you all!! Love, Auntie Jess

WOw. Lily's story sounds a lot like my son Carson's story. They were diagnosed around the same time, did 4 rounds of chemo, surgery, and were told they were "done" with chemo around the same time. AND they both had their ports taken out in April. Carson also did not put weight on his legs from the time he was born until he finished chemotherapy at 9 months old. I'll bookmark your site and check up on Lily. What a beautiful little girl!

Hello from the a now white New Prague, MN!

About 8 inches of snow here yesterday and a winter storm warning for most of the day. School was let out early, and Justin's basketball game was cancelled, and so were Ali's basketball games for this morning.

Justin, Bryce and I were busy this morning shoveling snow.

Ali had Junior Olympic volleyball this afternoon, her team won 6 out of 9 games. They really had a good time.

Wyatt and Carter spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Rech's. Carter told me that they got everything they asked for. LOL Why doesn't that surprise me? Wyatt told me that he wasn't coming home with me, that too did not surprise me!

If you haven't already joined our support group WYATT'S FRIENDS I'D LOVE TO WELCOME YOU TO OUR GROUP, PLEASE CONSIDER JOINING. Come meet other parents with children with cancer or a disability, or those who are learning and helping support us.

Hope you are having a good weekend!

She had asked me to pray for Lily when the diagnosis was first made. Our daughter had a brain tumor when she was 14, so we understand what you have been through. Kristina is now 24, and doing well. Actually, she has her 2-year routine MRI next week. God bless you all.

Lots of hugs and congratulations on getting through this far! I have a friend whose son had neuroblastoma and he is now several years past treatment and doing great! My Alex has Wilms and we are almost done, as well! Big love going to God for helping us be strong and giving us our "daily bread." Just enough for each day, so that we stay dependent on Him!
Much love!

Lily is so beautiful inside and out, it seems like!!! :) We will be praying that things continue to improve for her and that you will get much needed rest. It seems like marathon sometimes, but it isn't all uphill...and it's much easier letting Jesus carry you than trying to do it all yourself, isn't it? Not without bumps in the road, but knowing your strength is fed by God makes things much easier than if you had no hope as some have.
Big prayers of thanksgiving to God for your news and more prayers for clarity of thought and wisdom for the doctors to make a cohesive, comprehensive plan for Lily's surgery.

Much love,

We have dealt with those low count episodes, you feel like you are forever washing your hands and reminding others to do the same, all the while silently screening anyone who comes near. Hopefully they will rebound soon.
We went to the Mall of America yesterday, which was Saturday for kids weekend, and even though Wyatts counts are good and the kids had a fantastic time, I have to tell you that I still worry and I second guess my decision to go there in the first place.
We are sending positive wishes for the brace to be history and hope that you will have a good week that brings lots of sunshine!

LILY and family,
This is my first visit to your site. What a beautiful daughter you have. My daughter was also diagnosed on Sept. 5 but of 2003. She had a Wilm's Tumor in her right kidney and it was removed last September at St. Jude in Memphis.
I hate to see new kids added to the "caring bridge family".
It is such a sad way to meet such wonderful children and their families. Please remember that God does not give you more than you can handle. "this pops into my head daily" especially dealing with a 3 year old now.
Hope you guys have a great week.

Dear Lily and Family,
Little Ellie Anna and I (mom) are praying for you all. We pray for strength, peace, and a full recovery! My heart sank when I read about Lily. I along with so many others understand what you are going throuh. My daughter Ellie Anna (just turned 14 months) was diagnosed with stage III Wilms in the left kidney, just last month. She went through radiation and is now having weekly chemo treatments. I understand how at times you feel like you can get through anything, then at other times you feel like you could fall apart at the drop of a hat. (This was me yesterday!) Just do as you are and trust in the lord. Who knows Lily may grow up to do great things with those sufering through this very thing. May you feel gods peace and presence through this time.

Im glad Lily is doing so well! I know its devastating to find out your baby has cancer, Ive been there my daughter Alysia was diagnosed with wilms tumor on January 1, 2004 and has since finished her chemo and had two clean scans. God is good, even though sometimes we dont understand why some things happen, he ultimately has a good reason for everything he does and will get you through them. So keep the faith and stay strong and remember no matter what is thrown your way you can conquer anything with him holding you. My prayers are with Lily and your family and I send my best. Hi Lily,

You are a beautiful little girl!

To the parents of Lily,

I have been there. Abigail was 4 and a half months old when she was diagnosed with her neuroblastoma. She had surgery to remove the tumor and 4 rounds of chemotherapy. Abby is going to be three in February and she has been cancer free for almost two years! Halleujah! I will pray for the same results for your precious little girl. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!

Take care of yourselves and I will be praying for Lily and you all.

Sincerely,

Just a note to let you know that you are in my heart today. Read the updates and notes of encouragement and I am so grateful that God continues to take "care" of you. One morning as we were praying God shared with me that so many times we see His grace and mercy as being nice and gentle and kind and although it certainly is...there is definetely more to it than that. His grace and mercy is strong and powerful. It is mighty. Larger than anything in or of this world and it's 'systems.' Larger and stronger than discouragement. Larger and stronger than cancer or any of it's attempts. Standing with you and rejoicing in Lilly's complete restoration!
Love Much!

Our children are very strong, and Lily will beat this ugly thing called cancer. I'm sorry that this happened, but stay strong and positive and God will get you through this.
Take care,
Mel

Acts 3:6-7 "Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength."

Dear Jason, Tanya, and Lily...
Whether the Lord uses men like Peter, John, and Paul, or men like doctors and surgeons...only He can heal and make whole. We rejoice with your good news and will continue in prayer for Lily's swift and complete recovery.

Eunice and I were at the hospital with Lily from Tuesday evening through Thursday noon. To say the least, it was an emotionally trying time. But what joy we experienced when the surgeon pinched Lily's leg and her leg moved! We continue to pray that she wil continue to get feeling back in her legs and lower abdomen.
