Hi, Chastity, I'm thinking of your family on this 15th anniversary of Zoie's passing. I can just copy-and-paste last year's information because I can't say it any better. On the 11th (tomorrow) it's the 9th anniversary of the passing of my niece, who died at the age of 27 - such a tragic loss (tongue cancer that spread - no she never smoked and she was a medical student in the field of oncology, too; Both of her parents are doctors). So I think of both your baby girl and my niece, Kristen, at this time of the month. I don't think you ever read these comments because you've never posted a reply; I'm the only one who seems to post but maybe someday you WILL and then you'll know that I have remembered Zoie all these years. Hi Chastity, Travis and boys,
I just looked at the journal history page and I see that Sept. of 2010 is the last time you were on this website!! I guess you're so busy raising your active crew.....which is good. Then you're not dwelling on the greatest loss of your life. In fact, in the past 5 years, maybe you've even had another baby, maybe even a little girl! You really need to update your guestbook/journal, Chastity!
Anyway, as you know, it's been 11 loooooooooooong years since you lost your beloved oldest daughter. I know Zoie would be a teenager, most likely beginning to drive, if she were still here on earth. (((((hugs))))) to your entire family on this special day, this sad anniversary.

Choirlady here (Betsy) from loooong ago....remember me? We haven't been in contact in quite some time, and because of the Thanksgiving holiday, I totally forgot to get a snail-mail remembrance in the mail to you in time for Zoie's birthday. I was thinking of her, though, and wanted to let you know, so posting here seemed a good option. I'm so happy about little Mason and the new little bundle of joy coming. I'll keep your pregnancy in my prayers. When is your due date? You probably mentioned it on another reply in the guestbook but I haven't really read anything except 'Congratulations!' and 'love the baby's names'. So, when are you due? I have recently shared your Precious Child poem with the parents of a little girl who died of brain cancer just 2 weeks after her 10th birthday (Aug. of 2006); it was discovered that Feb. and she was dead only 6 mos. later....so, so sad. One of 4 daughters, and they had prayed so hard for a miracle of healing, in addition to all the chemo and other treatments Lydia endured, but she was a brave soul - this scripture is on her website: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”2 Timothy 4:7,8 The father, especially, is still in great mourning and very depressed. Well guys, just had to stop by and say hello. Sorry that we couldn't be there this evening with ya'll.(I wish we were) But we did let off our own set of Balloons for Princess Zoie.

We were heading home to get the balloons when Hannah was talking with her Nana, and she said "Nana, you know I called Zoie cupcake and Twinkie, and she called me the samething" there was silence and then she turned around and said "Mom I miss her", Yeah I know the feeling. As I know you do too.

Chastity, I just wanted to let you know that you are an inspiration to me. You are a very strong person, to handle all that you have handled and be the person that you are today. I love you, and wish that I lived closer to you, so that I could be there for you. Just remember that I am here if you need to talk or just to sit on the phone and cry. (I can do that)

Zoie, make sure and catch the balloons Hannah and I sent you today. I know that you will like them, they are princess and hearts. Hannah loves and misses you. We both send big kisses and hugs. Hi from a St. Jude family in the Show Me State!

Our family spent most of 2004 at the Target House while our daughter, Jill, was treated at St. Judes in D Clinic. I don't think we ever met while in Memphis.

I just want you to know that I followed your story. Your precious, little, Zoie was the first St. Jude child I "knew" who passed away. Up until that point, I guess I thought St. Jude cured every child. That's sure not the case.

We head back to St. Judes in a couple weeks for Jill's six month check up. You know the stress involved and would take it in a heart beat if you only the chance to take Zoie back to St. Judes. Pray for our sanity.

Here is a little scary story that happened w/tiny today...my dad is working across the road on the bayou building a deck...and gabby & I walked tiny across earlier in the morning to come w/us...this afternoon i tried clipping his toenails(and that is such a battle)...I could not get one clipped and I could not muzzle him...so i unleashed him and had him on the porch(i was sure he would not run off the porch)...well guess what...Mr. Tiny ran down the steps and across the road to meet my dad(this is a highway)...i was screaming w/hardly no voice coming out...when my dad saw he stooped down and tiny went in betweem his legs and put his head down...he knew he was in big trouble(he did get a whooping")...and I would have been in bigger trouble if little miss gabbylou would not have been in the house...I thank god he did not get run over:)

Oh Chas & Momo Monkey...we pray all is O.k. Last weekend they found a mass in my grandmothers left breast(my dad's mom). And she is scared to death...she's about 70 years old and does not want to have surgery...her mother had it along with every one of her mothers' sisters(maybe 6 of them) and their mother had it also. It is so scary...we will definantely being praying for you guys...I'll check in this week.

Thank you so much for sharing Mr. Mason's slideshow!! He is just precious and looks JUST like his Daddy. (I'll pray he outgrows that!! hahaha - just kidding Travis!) I'm so glad you are doing well ... I know you miss your sweet girl just like us. I just imagine they are having a blast in Heaven together. Angel Zoie has got to be smiling from ear to ear because of sweet Mr. Mason. I was telling my friends at work just the other day about Zoie being so serious telling me in her precious little cajun accent, "Miss Trish I got to get back home because Mo Mo Monkey has got me a cha-la-la puppy." I also told them that Zoie is the one who taught Emma Grace "juicy eggs" which she loved like her St Jude sister, Zoie. I can just hear them and it makes my heart smile.

The Stockings Were Hung:

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care
But one special stocking was no longer there
All that was left were the memories bittersweet
Of a life that had ended so incomplete

The family had pictures all gathered around
That sometimes made all of them tear up and frown
For the sorrow and sadness without their sweet child
Made it difficult for the whole family to smile

Although there were times when they felt him(her) so close
As if they were feeling some kind of a ghost
The signs that were sent were so special and clear

They often would talk to him(her) as if he(she) was there

He(She) came to them and simply took them away

After their amazing visit was through

hi, my little sweet pea. i am missing you today and thinking about you. i am in japan on vacation for two weeks. your moma monkey and mama are worried about me... but YOU know that i am a smart girl who loves to have fun and BE safe. guess what? i went to sanrio`s　hello kitty land and met the REAL HELLO KITTY!!!!! i think i was the only one there without a kid... but i can be a BIG KID and i had so much fun! i am in osaka, japan for a few more days and then go back to tokyo. i am trying lots of new food, learning some japanese, seeing some AMAZING places, and experiencing some　of what life is like on the other side of the world.

I am so excited that you are expecting a little boy. I wanted to tell you about my son. His name is Harley and he was born 6 weeks early. He weighed in at 7 pounds 5 ounces. It would have been an extremely large baby with a doctors guess of 10.5. It's amazing our boys they are special but our girls are special in a different way. Zoie even more so.... Hey there guys. Well as I sit here reading what you typed I will never forget the day Zoie died. It was Aaron's birthday his 6th to be exact. We were planning this big party but when I got the news that Zoie had passed away it just wasn't the same. Travis and Chasity just know I know what you mean about it NEVER being the same. I miss Aaron sooooo much but on Monday I will be sending the BIGGEST superhero balloon to Aaron and also a BIG PURPLE one just for Zoie. Last year when we sent balloons to Aaron from his grave we sent Zoie her's and all of them got stuck in a tree but before we left Zoie's and one of Aaron's flew up to them it was really precious. just wanted to let you know that we went to the graveyard today & put Zoie some things from the girls ...and when we got to leave i was putting Kerrisa in her carseat and she went to crying...so i asked her wheat was wrong and she just broke down & said BUT MOMMY..well she thought that we could TAKE ZOIE HOME W/US.she cryed all the way home when we got home i had to sit her down & explain why Zoie had to be w/jesus.
I NEVER saw her be so...heart broken ...shes forever telling me that she talkes w/Zoie and what goes on and what they talk about but...i didnt think it was so...diffacult to her.Im guessing that i want beable to bring her to Zoies grave that often by the way she acted when we left.well hope that things are ok w/yall.

Dear Mrs. Chastity...I know that you do not know me but my name is Brooke Fenn. I had the honor of meeting Princess Zoie once at St. Jude when I was with the Gravelle family. Zoie had a way of making a lasting impression on my life. When I found out about the c.d.'s I requested one and I recieved mine in the mail two days ago. For the past couple of weeks I have been volunteering at the hospital in my town and when I am older I would like to be a pediatric oncologist at St. Jude. Well lately I have really been questioning if I would be able to actually do it. As I started listening to the c.d tears rolled down my face. I thought there is no way I can be a doctor I will get to attached. Well at the end of the 2nd song, you say we thank St. Jude so much for giving us two years and I realized that God has called me to be a doctor and I just want to tell you thank you for sending me a sign. Hey guys,

I was so glad we got to share the weekend with you.

After we left woodstock Gabrielle ask me why zoie had to go to heaven so I start explaining that her cancer did not go away & it made her sick so Jesus took her to be with him so she would not be sick anymore.
Well little miss cried the whole way home (not talking much)said one time that she missed zoie. I pulled off the side of the road to comfort her. Her feelings were really hurt/sad. I had never seen her like this before. It just broke my heart ssoo much.
And she was ssooo worried about Mrs. Chastity being sad:(

She is really understanding so much more now.

i think of you everyday... but today just had to sign the guest book to remind y'all how much i love you and care about you! even if zoie's room changes to accomodate a baby brother, zoie's memory will never go away, you are not getting rid of HER if you get rid of her things! but you know she will be up there having a fit, saying, "as if! they actually moved my hillary duff, disney princess, dora, barbie, polly pocket, strawberry shortcake, pretend kitchen, game girl, lizzy mgguire, stuff?!"
i can't wait to find out if baby schexnayder is a girl or a boy. then i can start SPOILING him/her. taylor and brittnee were asking about y'all the other day. brittnee reminded me that she prays for, "zoie's mommy and daddy to have a healthy baby, with no sickness." i couldn't have said it better myself. and i too am praying for chloe bell / jude travis (my personal favorite...)

I recieved my CD in the mail today. I didn't even wait to get home. I opened it in my truck and listened to the first song. What an amazing CD. I sat there after listening to the first song just in awe of it. Then when I got into my house i listened to the other song. Just as amazing as the first. So much love, emotion, and reflection contained in them. You put so much of your heart in your story and I feel they framed it so perfectly with the songs. It was like those songs were written just for Zoie. Thank you for including me in this journey that you continue to face and know how many lives you have touched as well as Zoie.

what a beautiful testimony of zoie's life. you know she's up there dancing around and smiling with pride... her life's story told to the tunes of brad paisley and wynona. alan jackson would be getting some looks if she could see him!
i love you all so much and am so thankful for the two years that we had with zoie. she has been one of my life's biggest teacher's and i am forever grateful for being touched by her spirit and unfailing love.

I'm from the Little Rock area where they are doing the St. Judes Country Cares for Kids radio a thon yesterday and today. I was driving around town and they said next we'll hear from Angel Zoie's mom. They played your St. Jude song...what a wonderful wonderful blessing it was too hear it. It is an amazing song...I'm sure Zoie is dancing around in Heaven after hearing it. I'm so happy to hear you are pregnant and I'm sure she is smiling about that too. God Bless you all.

I just heard Zoie's story and song on the air today during our St. Jude radiothon. I told the DJ's that Zoie was treated as St. Judes when our daughter was also a patient in D Clinic in '04.

You sounded GREAT on the air considering everything you've been thru. Thanks for your continued support of our St. Judes. Our daughter is a walkin' talkin' Memphis miracle.

hey chas and travis... was travis as creative and sweet this valentine's as he was last year? you are so spoiled, chastity! (but you know this...) i went shopping today (what else is new?) and i spent a LONG time looking at baby clothes! NO... chelinda is not having a baby... yet... but you are and i wanted to pick out some new clothes for him / her. i bought stuff for a boy and a girl... so either way i'm all set... i can't believe how itty bitty the clothes are. simply precious. i was looking at all of these warm and fuzzy things and then i remembered that you live in louisiana and down jackets aren't really a necessity. can you tell how excited i am to welcome the new little one????????? i hope he/she has zoie's nose... that was my favorite part about her... so cute and little... i'll talk to you soon.

I heard Zoie's song Thursday evening during WYNK's St. Jude Radiothon. I sat in my car in my driveway and cried. Then on Friday evening, I heard you sharing Zoie's story on the Radiothon and I cried again. You did an awesome job sharing about your precious Zoie.
