Some days when I wish I could do more for all the little fighting angels of Spinal Muscular Atrophy,
I remember the day I met baby Julia.

I was sooo scared then too.
Some people thought I was crazy, for going half way across the country,
to meet a family I'd only spoken with a few times,
to try to help a baby as fragile as you.
But you know what I would say to those people today?

I couldn't be more happy about that!!!!
I will not say that I "saved" you, for it was between you, your family, and GOD to do that,
but I am so grateful to Him for letting me give you a chance at LIFE.
And what a beautiful life yours is...
I know if I was never blessed to help another family of an earth angel,
my heart could stay full forever with the blessing that is YOU.

Lisa, your journal entry brought tears to my eyes, and you wrote it on Malia's angel day too. I'm sure Holly Ann and Malia and all the little angels are having so much fun. I love the quote that says something like, "Time in heaven is compared to the blink of an eye for us on earth. Sometimes it helps me to think of our little angels running ahead of us through a beautiful field of flowers and butterflies. They are so happy and busy there, that by the time they turn around to see if we're behind them...we will be." I know that's not exactly how the quote goes, I changed it a little to apply to all of our angels and I'm sure I didn't remember it word for word to begin with, but you get the idea. We love you guys, and we hope Julia is feeling better and having a super day!

I have been out of town taking Turo to Utah again so I haven't had a chance to read your post to her yet, but I will soon. She is in her room watching TV right now. She has gotten quite good at changing the channels with her ablenet remote and she likes the country music channel and some really old movies with lots of good music in them. She's so funny, both of my kids love their music just like you do! We love you, sweet girl, and we miss you tons and bunches. When Tim and Turo and I were on our way to Salt Lake City, I was wishing we were going on a vacation with Kalair instead. We want to come to Opelousas again! Princess Kalair has been staying up ALLL night lately, like past 4 am, can you believe that?!? Aunt Liz goes to bed at four after messing with princess and then gets up with Prince Turo at eight (so I have sympathy for you, Lisa)! Hi little princess! Tell your momma I couldn't see your harp pics. :-( Probably our silly computer's fault, but we *should* have a new (to us!) one within the next week which will make being online much easier. It will also make it easier for Aunt Liz to do websites, so tell your momma to get her pics together. We can never have too many new pics of Princess Julia, and we still need some more little baby pics of your sister for her site. Aunt Liz has been working on Kalair's friend, Skylar's site again too. She wanted a fairy themed journal, so that's what we're doing... It's not all done yet, but I remember your momma saying you needed some more cb sites to check out so you should go visit Sky. Lance is another friend of both Kalair and Sky who has a cool cb site. His theme is Superman! Let us know if you want some more names of sites you can visit, we have met lots of nice families through caringbridge. We love you, Princess Julia, and we are hopeful that we might actually make it to Louisiana in the next couple of months! We'll let you know when we figure things out for sure, but we miss you and we are sure trying to make it for a visit. We are trying to get out to visit Tracy and Sky too, but they live even farther away from us than you do, so it may take us longer to get to see them. Kalair really wishes ALL her friends could get together and play at one time, especially you, Sky, Hannah, and Big Skylar (Swanson)...maybe one day! Okay, Aunt Liz has to get back to these silly kiddos. Tell your momma and daddy to give you tons of kisses from me until I can come give them to you myself!

Hi Julia, thank you for signing my guestbook! My mommy read your mommy's email (and post!) about your mall trip to me, I'm so glad you had fun! My mommy would not have let me get a makeover at the mall, but I would love it if she did. Maybe some day... I love the mall and shopping and looking at everything, and I love going to the movies at the mall! Have you ever been to a movie at a theater? It is great because the screen is HUGE, tell your mommy that should be another goal for days when it is too hot for you to be outside. I like the outside, but I like my air conditioning even more when it is 100 degrees out! Well I am going to go watch the Princess Diaries now, that is one of my favorite movies and my grandma finally found the DVD for me, yay! I don't really have any favorite music, I like too many different songs to name them! And my favorite colors are pink and purple, but I am really taking my time deciding what color I am going to paint my new room (if we get the house that is) so say some prayers for me that we will get it! I love you too, and I wish I could come swim with you tomorrow, but mommy is really trying to come up with some money so we can come visit you again one of these days! We miss you too, and we can't wait to see you again. You will have to put up with my mommy giving you tons of kisses when we do come, she gets pretty annoying sometimes, but it is only because she loves me! ;-) Tell your mommy to give you a hug from me and I will call you soon, maybe tomorrow.
