Hello Hentz family.
It was so weird how I ran into this website...we're studying human genetics and I was researching autism in Northern Kentucky and this was one of the websites, so of course, I clicked, and then it was you! How weird, but so awesome! I pray for you and your family especially for Louie everyday and enjoy the time spent when I am with all of you. You guys are a wonderful family and am so glad to help whenever I can! Just drop an e-mail by, you know.

I am so glad that you will be continuing the updates. I have followed your story for a while. My mom has lived her life doing good deeds and has taught me that you never go to bed without doing something for others. Some days praying for the caringbridge children and families is all I can do. I always hope that you find strength in the prayers of others, many of which you may not even know of.

Hi Witschy! I guess you're just a few weeks away from the new baby's arrival...VERY EXCITING!!! Glad to hear that Louis is doing so well. Sometimes the simplest things we take for granted sparks something where we'd least expect it...like the water! Anyhow, I'd love to talk to you. Becky was here recently and we were recounting the night we hung out at the bar in KY and then went to the Anchor Grill. Ah, the good old days! Let me know what's up and what else there is to keep praying for. Sounds like there's still challenges that God is keeping in front of you. I think of you often and am so happy with all the great news about Louie. Take care & talk to you soon.

Wow Witschy! Another baby! So exciting. I used to always criticize people who had babies when they were "AMA", but after I had Quinlan, I would love to have another. I can't get enough of her, and here she is almost 2! That crazy woman offering her kid to be Louie's "buddy" is my friend and she has the best heart ever! You guys would be great friends and they are a family of 6 (or 7 if you include the dog) too. Anyhow, I haven't been on here in a while and just wanted to see how Lou is progressing. Sounds like he's doing pretty well and is as adorable as ever. I would love to see you sometime. The years have a way of getting away from us. Anyway, congrats on the new little dumplin' coming in October! I can't wait to hear the news! In our prayers always!

Wow, Lot's going on. How exciting to be expecting! My prayers to you for a wonderful lovely happy healthy baby. Possibly a crazy thing to offer - since I'm a stranger but if Louie wants to try and have a buddy, I'm happy to introduce him to my little guy! We're only a few miles away in Cold Spring! Of course I don't know all the issues but the offer is there - again, as crazy as it may sound. Anyhow, it broke my heart to hear he was sad seeing the boys playing. It only feels right to want to reach out and help somehow. I pray his therapy will continue to cause improvements and that Louie will be so happy and able to do everything you ever dreamed for him and so much more. Take care.

Christmas’

Each Christmas I remember
The ones of years ago;
I see my Parents and Grandparents with their Santa glow.

Each Christmas finds me dreaming
Of days that used to be,
When we hid presents here and there,
For all our family.

Each Christmas I remember
The smell in the air,
Of roasting turkey, pies
And cookies everywhere.

Each Christmas finds me longing
For Christmas’ now past,
And I am back in childhood
As long as memories last.

From our family to yours.

Merry Christmas and Happy New year!!

Hi there...

Thanks for stopping by Hadley's site and leaving a message for us. =) Like you, I often feel like I spend so much time "reporting" and it all sounds so bad. It is often overwhelming in real life...but we do always get through and are not nearly as down as we sound. Then, other days we are WAY more down than we sound. ha ha. It's just a a toss up I guess.

So, I think you are only the second family I've met who had a BT kid with autism. Hadley was dx'd with autism informaly about a year and a half before the BT was dx'd. She wasn't formaly dx'd by a psych until after the tumor was found. We were FINALY able to get into a neuropsych after they found the tumor. Apparently the autism alone wasn't cause enough to fit us in. *sigh*. Anyway...I'm interested to learn more about your journey...I'll go back through your journal and go over to PBT and read up a little...

Above all know that we'llbe praying for your sweet guy's MRI and for Mom and Dad during this stresfull time. Have you become familiar with the "PMS" term used over at the PBT board yet? Pre MRI Syndrome. Have you seen the shirts that Paige's dad had designed. It still cracks me up! =) There's a link at the bottom of Had's page.

Anyway...lots of thoughts for you all on Monday...do you usually get results right away?

With Love and Hope...

Kerin,
I just wanted you to know that we are praying for Louie. It seems that just when you feel good about things something throws a clinker in and upset the flow. A check up is that clinker for all of us. Or if they do one thing different we wonder why? Does it ever end? WE just have to have faith in God. It is easier said than done, but just remember that God has it in control.

Hey all! It sounds like Louie has made some progress over the last few months. Every little bit of progress makes us as parents know that what we are doing for our sick children is well worth it no matter how hard or frustrating it is. Have you ever thought about HBOT(hyperbaric oxygen treatments)? G has gone through 80 treatments and we have met a ton of kids with autism that go. You may want to check into it and if you have any questions feel free to contact me and I can put you into contact with some very knowledgeable people. Hang in there it will only get better!

Hey Kerin :0)

Love the new pic of sweet little Louie! The girls look great too! You go girl! Be the best advocate you can be for Louie. Ultimately WE as their parents are the BEST and ONLY advocates they will ever have. Who else better to fight for our little ones than The Mommy AND I can honestly say its just ONE of the hardest unpaid jobs I have! :0)

Hope you all are having a fun summer. Will check back soon!

Witschy, I haven't been on in a while, but met up with Becky Ermer tonight and she asked about you. It breaks my heart to read about the continued struggles you have with Louie's illness. I know that it can't be easy, but I'm so thankful that he's still here with us! It's hard for me to understand why any parent would have to go through this, but my friends who are Christ followers always tell me that He has a plan. We need to trust God to help us when we need it most. Anyhow, you have a darling family and the girls are just gorgeous. I can't believe how big they are. I look at my own and think, "where has the time gone?" Take care of yourself and those beautiful kids. I would love to see you sometime if we can ever truly find the time to actually do it. Keep us updated on all the progress!

Have a very Happy Mothers Day Kerin, how special these all are.

For those local people that stop by... There was a Cov Cath 04' student that was in a horrible accident on May 2. He's been in a coma since, and has had many surgeries and can't get rid of his fever. He now has pneumonia....

Please pray for him and his family. His name is Justin Ingle... He is at University Hospital, www.carepages.com

Hey Kerin and Mike, it's been a long time since I last read up on Louie. I couldn't figure out how to find the website after losing it in a computer purge, and finally gave up. But I was just going through some pictures and found a few of Morgan and Abby...and of course I began to reminisce a little...and SO, I googled Louie's name and found it fairly easy.(why I didn't think of that earlier...I don't know)

But at any rate, It's great to see that his tests are clear, but I'm pretty shocked at the autism, that is the last thing I expected to read. I agree with you about St. Judes doing some Autism research, how incredible would that be!? I'm sure by God's grace you guys will stumble on some more incredible dr.s who will help you along the way. And that gluten intolerance thing is obnoxious huh? I have that...it is such a mystery how it just randomly shows up(I didn't realize it was triggered by certain things, I don't know what mine is caused from). It's gotta be hard with a little one though b/c they want to eat what everyone else is eating. ANYWAY, I know it's quite LATE, but I must also say congrats on the two gigantic runs you made...I can't believe you did that!?! How rejuvinating and very rewarding that must feel!

I have never stopped thinking about you guys, will keep you in my thoughts and prayers I'm sure for years to come...God is very clearly backing you up and it sounds like you have a lot of people rooting for you...I pray everything continues to work out for you all and that He continues to give you that amazing strength.

Tell the girls(if they remember me) that I said HI. And tell Morgan she is beautiful! I looked at those pictures from...I guess that was halloween. Morgan and Abby are both babes of course ;) And Louie has grown so much! I couldn't believe it. And his hair! He's a cutie.
Sorry this is so long, I just had so much to say. I'll leave you for now. Take care. Much love and prayers

OK WHAT is that weirdo entry in your guestbook? Wonder if Caringbridge can do something about that?

SOOO SOOO glad Louies scans were clear! Here's hoping for forever clear scans

Still praying for sweet Louie. I think of your family often.

Just wanted to stop by and say hi. I'm sure you are having good days and bad days in figuring out ways to help Louie. With the foods I'm sure it is an adventure for the whole family to try and eat things Louie can eat and to stay away from the foods that might be making the autism worse. You're still in my prayers.
