Lisa Lowrey, Kambryn's mom, and I have set up a Vanderbilt Children's Hemonc Forum for our families, past and present, to get together and chat. Our hope is that we can have a place for families going through active treatment to get to know each other... families whose kids are done with treatment can talk about what's next and families with angels to connect for friendship and support. We also hope to start raising awareness for Childhood Cancer here in Middle Tennessee as well as help the families going through active treatment. Basically this is one solid place to connect and hopefully help find a cure for this horrible cancer that has drawn our families together. Check it out and let us know what you think. If you have any ideas or questions we would love to hear them! Also, please feel free to pass this info along to other Vanderbilt families... I know I have missed several, so the more we get the word out the better the forum will be! We hope to see you over there!

Hi Karlee,Teri and Gage,
Well, I am praying that today be a very eventful day for you. Meaning that I hope that there is great news from the mri today. I know the word stable is a great word but SHRINKAGE is the best word of them all. Well there are some better but in our case's we love that word.
I have to say that with the case of Travis I mentioned, I had to mention the thought of Avistan for Travis.
I am so glad to hear of the improvement for Gage with his weight. Hurray for Kindergarten, I just was given our news of the new to be 2nd,4rth,and 8th grader's to be in our house. Today was there last day. Next I will get the news of a Jr. to be.
I wish you all the best and hope that today will make for a great start for the summer for Gage.

You may think that no one can do anything for you right now, but if you mom keeps going to doctor's around the country someone will be able to take on the big job of getting this tumor you have to either be smaller or totally out. It seems hopeless sometimes, but we can't give up on faith from God. He will do what He thinks is needed to have you continue carrying out His plan He has for you. Please take it easy and try to enjoy yourself. God knows what He's doing, even though it feels like sometimes, we don't. God Bless You Gage!

I really appreciate seeing all the wonderful pictures of Gage and reading the updates about how well he is doing. He is such a handsome little fellow. He is in my prayers daily and I know God has a great future in store for him.

My grandaughter, Briannah Olsen, has the very same astrocytomas as Gage. She is now going on 7 months old. Although she had surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible they have not started Chemo. She has a shunt and a broviac tube and has to be fed through a feeding tube as she stopped sucking after the surgery. Otherwise, She is doing very well and they are carefully watching her. I pray for her daily and know God has a great future in store for her.

I have been reading children of the promise for several weeks now and just discovered that I could respond like this and sign your guestbook. Duhhh!

My thoughts and prayers are with all the children. My heart goes out to them and their families
