This page is done in loving memory of my nephew, Wayne who was taken from his family and friends at the age of twenty. Just weeks before his dream of going to college was to become a reality.

This page is done so that Wayne's family and friends can have a way to keep in touch and keep Wayne's memories alive.

He is deeply missed by many.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF WAYNE, KENNETH AND ALLISON

POEM FOR THREE FRIENDS!

Wayne, Kenneth and Allison too,
Why oh why did it happen to you?
At such a young age, when life just begun
Lots of things for you were left undone.

A few years on with your angel wings
I know you help others with numerous things.
Keeping watch on your families, with love on your part.
Sending love to them all, straight from your heart.

Wayne, I see you, Handsome and brave
Old vehicles round you, trying to save.
Music is playing, you like to dance
Eyes dreamy and longing, as if in a trance.

Kenneth, I see you strong and upright
Showing your followers, the way to the light.
Giving your friendship to one and all.
Gave you the chance when you went to your call.

Allison, precious, so tender and mild
You were taken away only a mere child.
Standing there, looking with love in the air.
The wind gently blowing through your silky hair.

So please remember, you're always on our mind.
The tears that we let fall are a special kind.

Little memories we have, bring you closer for sure.
Until we meet again, when we walk through that door.

WAYNE'S FUDGE PIE

INGREDIENTS

1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons (level) flour
3 tablespoons (heaping) cocoa
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
3 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS:

Mix all ingredients. Bake in unbaked pie shell at 350 degrees until it is set.

Story about Wayne and the fudge pie:

This pie has been made by my sister, Seal for years, since she was in school. Thanksgiving, 1999, Wayne told Seal that he loved fudge pies. She said, "I will make you one for Christmas." Steve, Wayne's step-dad overheard her tell Wayne, she would bring him one for Christmas. Steve been the funny character that he is, said "you better not come in this house with him a fudge pie and not bring me a chess pie". (lol) Of course, she made Steve and Wayne one each. (Steve, chess/Wayne, fudge) After all it was Steve's home. (lol)

Wayne had his pie in hand and asked his mom, Trudy where he should put it? She said, "you better hide it cause Steve will eat it". (lol) Wayne looked around, opened up the lower cabinet and hid his pie in with his mom's cooking utensils. We all got a good laugh from that.

Don't know if Steve ever knew about it.

She has always said she is so glad she did make the pie for him. The year Seal made him the pie was his last Christmas with his family here on earth. He and two of his friends were taken in a tragic accident. Seal has not made another pie since. BUT........

My son, Jason has begged Seal to make him one (he also loves this pie) but for some reason, she has not been able to make one since the one she made for Wayne. BUT, she will be making one for Jason this next month and three of them for her work's fall dinner. He will be getting the first one that she makes because Wayne would want it that way. He and Jason are cousins and grew up spending a lot of time at their me-maw's home. Jason is nine months older than Wayne.

The original name of this pie is Chocolate Fudge Pie but since this pie has so many good memories, we changed it to Wayne's Fudge Pie.

Enjoy and pray for the family when you eat! We all still miss Wayne so much.
