Dear Shrocks,
It is so good to hear that Kira will be coming home from the hospital. Being extra-emotional right now, I couldn't help but to cry happy tears for her and your family:) I'd love to come visit soon, but I'll wait at least a couple weeks till I'm out of school and she's a little stronger. Kevin and I also have a gift for her that I've been anxious to get to you guys. Anyhow, we will continue to keep your family in our prayers.
With love,
Anita

Hi Michelle!

I agree with you about protecting little Kira from visitors right now. Until she has gotten some immunity built up, she does not need to be exposed to a lot of new viruses and bacteria. I am sure that everyone is extremely anxious to see her in person, but it may not be to her best advantage seeing everyone right away, no matter how good their intentions! If she comes down with a virus after just getting home, especially RSV, everyone would feel badly.

I hope your friends and relatives can understand this and not make you feel like you're having to police them away!

Love,
Aunt Jana

Looking forward to seeing you all on Sunday. I can't wait to see Kira again! I am so glad to hear of her continued improvement, she has a mighty legion of prayer warriors defending her against all harm. Had a blast with Kirsten on Monday at the South Bend Silver Hawks game. (And even after 2 hot dogs she could still eat popcorn! She must be going through a growth spurt or something!) :D Anyway just thought I would let you know that we (Em and I) love all four of you and we lift you up to our Father in HEaven multiple time a day.

Hi Michelle and Rod!
Well little Kira is looking alert in the photos, and ready to explore her family! Her weight sounds good too. No more IVs is another excellent sign of major improvements. I am glad she is feeling energetic enough to cry. That is a very good sign that her heart is functioning well.
Keep working on the nipple feedings... she just needs more practice. I am keeping you all in my prayers!
Lots of love,

"We love you and we miss you and we hope baby Kira gets better soon. And I think that's all I want." (Cole's message to you guys after looking at his cute little cousin. He was excited to type in his own name. Nice that Kira's English teacher aunt couldn't spell "niece" in her previous e-mail.) We are so glad to get the encouraging news in today's update. Thanks for keeping all of us informed. Tonight right after praying for Kira in our small group, the phone rang. Everyone joked that it was God calling with answers. Instead it was JoAnn with some answers. We are so thankful.

Dear Michelle & Rod--
I continue to pray for Baby Kira every day. I am so very glad to hear from Rod that Kira is off the ventilator and the TPN! Hopefully she will tolerate the N/G tube feedings of breast milk and be able to try nursing soon, if she's not too tired after being discontinued from the ventilator.
I was wondering how her weight was doing after all of these blood pressure meds... maybe you could post it in her journal (grams is okay!). Take care and hope you are doing okay too!

Dear Michelle and Rod,
I have been praying every single day for Kira since she was born! Since I do my research in the NICU, I know all about where Kira is and the treatments she has received. Riley Children's Hospital is one of the very best NICUs available, so she is in the hands of wonderful caregivers! I am so very glad that she is there!

I am hopeful that one of your pastors has been able to visit you to give you some words of encouragement. I wanted to send you a card, but was not sure where to mail it.

My mom is very concerned about Kira too. She is not great at navigating on the internet, so she had not checked Kira's webpage.

I will ask my church to pray for Kira, and my friends too!

Love to you all--

Hello, Rod & Michelle! We miss seeing your smiling faces in church! You have been in our thoughts and prayers since Kira's birth. (I even put her on the prayer list at the church where I work at.) We're so glad to hear today that she is doing better and things are really looking up! Take care of her and each other! Love and prayers- The Brovont's---Bryon, Marlene, Travis & Cody

Dear Rod & Michelle,
Congratulations on the birth of Kira! We are thankful with you for how the Lord has been answering the many prayers for her health! We continue to pray with you for her physical well-being, but also for you as her parents as you intruct her in the Lord during her life, that He will bless her spiritually with a great love for Him. Take care and we look forward to seeing you return to your home next door!
Love in Christ,

We are grateful to your family for keeping us up to date on Kira's status as we were away from home. It is exciting to hear that the procedure to open the valve looks promising! You all remain in our prayers and we look forward to coming down to visit on 4/27. May God keep you in the palm of His hand.

I am pleased to be the first one to visit this web page. I got to see her this morning and what a lucky first cousin once removed i am! (at least, i think that's what i am to her...) She was active and had her eyes open a litle and looked great! Kira, you are in the cath lab right now, and there are a lot of people praying for you! we love you!
