I don't know if anyone checks on Melissa's caringbridge anymore or not. I have been looking in on another friend this past week and decided to look at yours. I just want to tell anyone that is interested that you had good check ups in May and are so happy to know that all is well with you. We are all looking forward to your 12th birthday in November. (Yes, Alivia will be 7 that same month) Both are healthy and happy little girls. Again and always we Praise God for both of you! Love, Great Grandma

Hi Melissa, I just want everyone to know that both you and I are doing well, even if we had to miss walking together in the Relay for Life this spring. You, because your Mom was riding in a parade with her classmates for her class reunion. I didn't walk because part of our family was enjoying a week end in Kansas City. We will see you soon. Love, Great Grandma

Dear Melissa, I don't know how often you open your guest book, but I have been thinking lately how fortunate that your Nueroblastoma was diagnosed six years ago in September 2003 and treated so well that you are now a lovely, healthy little lady who will be eight years old in November. God has been so good to our family! Love you, Great Grandma

Hi Melissa,
I don't know what that junk is on your caringbridge and I won't open any of it. I think it is disgusting that some one is using these web sites to promote something that is probably not even related to Cancer. Now, I want to thank you again for walking in the survivors walk in our Relay for Life again this year. We will do it again in 2009. Praise our Loving God that we are both able to walk! Love you, Great Grandma.

Didn't we have fun Friday Night on our Survivors walk at the Relay for life festivities. Even better, it was great to be a part of raising money for Cancer research. I haven't heard how much money was raised, but know it was a bunch. Some day, you will grow into the shirts that we wear. Thank you for walking with our team after our Survivors walk, after all you are a member of the team too!

I am so glad that you walked with me on Friday, June 10, as a Survivor in Waterloo's Relay for Life for cancer survivors! We had a good time didn't we? Even if I had to walk really fast to keep up with you! We will do it again next year! The volunteer walkers raised a lot of money for Cancer Research!!! Hi Melissa (and family)!

Okay, so I'm a little late on signing the guestbook....but it sure was nice to see you when you came visiting that day you had the first half of the scans (and Jeni, didn't you say you were going to update after the second half of the scans? Come on! Get with the program ;)!). I can't believe how much you've grown up from the little girl who used to watch Barney and do crafts in her crib with me!! Thanks for stopping up! It always brightens my day to see you!

Hugs,
Mariah

PS-Those sure are some pretty girls in that picture from Mommy and Daddy's wedding...

melissa, I was so happy to hear the news on the scans. I think about you all of the time and wonder when we will get to see you again. Connor got out of the hospital the Tuesday after Memorial Day (end of May) and hasn't been in since. Quick knock wood. He is doing great. He even got a haircut a week ago. Wow, how far we have come. He still has 2 more years of chemo but we will be there eventually. So glad you are all doing well. You all deserve it.

We had a week of mission talks at church last week. The Vincentian Father who conducted it asked us to write an intention on a slip of paper and turn it in. Our intention was for Melissa and her battle witn neuroblastoma. The intention will be prayed for daily for the next year by the Vincentian Fathers at their Mission Center.

Hey Melissa, Happy Easter. Connor was in the hospital last Easter and the Easter Bunny found him and I know that Connor sent a letter to him telling him that his friend Melissa was in the hospital and had a great day today and to make sure to see her. Yay on those white cells coming up today. You are doing awesome.
We check in on you every night. Thanks for the nightly updates Jeni.
Goodnight.

You have a big day tomorrow and we(Connor and his family) will be cheering you on and praying at the same time. You and your mommy and daddy are real troopers if you ask me. I always enjoy talking to them, they are very nice people but you probably already know that. Well baby girl one last request, when you see Kirsten will you "shake, shake" for Connor and myself too?
