His stenghth truly inspires me.
I first met him at the Relay for life, then got to continue knowing him at camp.

I couldn't help but cry when I read this - cry for everything you guys are going through and everything Jack has been through. Cry in utter and continued amazement at Jack's determination to rise above whatever challenge he is faced with. I thought about your little guy all day. I remember when we were camping and he had just gotten back from Mayo, he was moving pretty slow, he walked his little body over across the road just to say "Happy Fathers Day " to Mark, and he had just met him that weekend. Hello!
I met Jack at Camp Heart Connection. This summer was my second year as a staff member and I actually attended the camp for 12 years as an oncology camper.
I just wanted to say that out of all the kids I've met at camp, Jack leaves one heck of an impression. He is the biggest cuddle bug and such a funny kiddo.
I know I speak for all of camp when I say that we can't wait to see him back next year. You all are in my prayers today and every day!

Logan had feveral seizures his first few years of life and had to be given phenobarbital to get things under control. His seizure episodes (and not being able to hold an IV) were traumatizing to me, but compared to what Jack is going through ours was a walk in the park.
I am so proud of all of you for your courage and for sharing your story with us. We love you and would do anything to make all of this go away. But since that doesn't seem to be the plan we will continue to pray, fight, and give all of our extra energy to all of you. You are NOT alone.

You all are always included in my prayers but lately I have overloaded God with extra special prayers. I know Jason won't let anything happen to Jack. Those two had a special bond.
If you need anything please call me at 507-456-7400 (cell). If I don't answer I probably will be at the hospital where I work but after work I will call you right back. Please, if you need a nice shower, a real bed or someone to sit with Jack if you have something you need to do (but I know how that goes).

I am laughing about negotiating food for Jack and the "spyish" lengths you will go to feed your son - way to go! We met Jack and Marty at the opening for Relay for Life in Dyersville in 2008.

I'm glad to hear that Jack's scan looked OK and will be praying that the new scan a few weeks from now will be even better. I just had a minute to go online today and came across the link to Jack's page. Being present in the audience when everyone was shouting "We Know Jack" in Ohio was one of the highlights of my summer. It was such a testament to the incredible work your family is doing in the fight against cancer. Jack is such a fighter, but the "team" of Hoeger's behind him is pretty amazing too! The depth to which your determination as a family has inspired others is immeasurable.

I have a new friend that I need to introduce you to. My sister from Wisconsin has a little friend named Caitlin Dickey who is 5 years old. She has a type of cancer called
anaplastic astrocytoma. She is in Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. They have done surgery but could not remove the entire tumor because she would become totally blind. They have decided to do both radiation and chemotherapy, and pray for a cure. Would you please talk to her through her caring bridge web-site? I know she would really appreciate it. I KNOW Jack. I met him this past week. As a member of Team LIVESTRONG, I stopped into Steve's Coach to take a break and enjoy some AC and there, sat on the sofa in front of me was Jack.

Hi Hoegers, You might consider uploading your youtube video to revver.com. It pairs videos with advertisers, the more who watch, the more money you get paid. That might be a bit more money for cancer fighting! I was reading about the site in an article, it said that last summer the "mentos and coke" kids made over $28000 in a very short time because of all the hits on their video. Wow!

I am Jason's mom--Jason told me many times how much he loved you and your family. I know your MRI will come out perfect! I will hope and pray for you. Dear Jack,
I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the hope and determination you gave my best friend, your buddy, Jason. There wasn't a day go by that he mentioned how you were doing and how proud he was of you for your courage and fight. It gave him strength. It gave him more reasons to keep on keeping on.
Although he won't be here personally to help you through your journey, you are in his care, and he will always be in your heart and have your back from up above.
Marty & Jen, reach for Jason in time of need. He's new up there so he doesn't have a lot of 'customers' yet. Although knowing him, he sold a few cars already! Get on his list to get in touch with. He'll be there. Thanks for being there for Gina and her family. And for me. Our talks this last weekend were simple yet very comforting.

First I would like to tell Jack how sorry I am about the loss of his special friend Jason. Jack, you meant so much to him, he talked about you alot, and how he wasn't going to eat Chinese without you. Just know that he is watching over you, and will protect you throughout your journey, wherever that may take you...
Marty and Jen, words cannot express the gratitude that I have for you in all that you have done for Jason, and Gina. Your friendship means the world to her, and I know that she can depend on you both for anything! Your presence the whole weekend was a blessing. Thank you...
We will all miss that "infectious" smile, loving demeanor, and rambuctious playfullness that Jason brought with him wherever he went. But that will live on in the memories, and stories that we tell and pass on. I look forward to our Jason Nation race in May.
